OMG I saw that in blue last weekend and SO wanted it, but they didn't have it in my size  Hmmm, now I wanna make another effort to find it ...

This week I have purchased:
A leopardprint cardigan
A vintage-red lipstick
A pair of 15-denier seamed hold-up stockings

Spotted a gorgeous vintage-rose tea dress in this week's Grazia - from M&S, shocker! - but they don't have it on their website  Why oh why FFS. I WANT it.

I saw that as well. Probably from the Spring/Summer collection and not in store yet. Magazines are always featuring clothes that you can't actually buy for months.

I saw a gorgeous leopardprint cardi in an A-Wear advertising booklet last week, and it wasn't on the bloody website. That really does take the biscuit. I mean, your own bloody advertising materials!
In the end I bought one from Mango instead.

I went to a vintage clothes fair today in Bethnal Green and got a cute fifties summer dress, a black crepe dress which I think is from the forties or early fifties and a sixties belted jacket for spring.

I bought a tiger print fleecy night suit thing whatever they're called. I think another urb has one. It's got a hood with ears too :D
I might make a tail and become Tiggr :D

I think all the pale colours would clash with my skin tone Cribynkle :(

ah ms t i am massively jealous. i watched la vie en rose the other week and have been searching ever since for a 40s black crepe dress. i want an edith piaf dress goddamnit

That is gorgeous and I don't like pink!! They only seem to have blue on the website and I need two different sizes for my chest and my waist!

Maybe it's cos I'm in China, we've got a lot of the spring/summer stuff in H&M now, thank god, cos my arse is too big to fit into Chinese clothes. :D

And tbf, it's very baggy around the boobs, think it'll be fine for knocking around town but I can't wear it to school for fear of flashing the kids.

That blue/pink dress is in the latest H&M mailorder sendout - cos I saw it in there yesterday

Lemme know if you want the catalog thingy MsT and I'll pass to someone who lives near you tomorrow :)

I think we're talking at cross purposes - I was referring to an M&S dress I saw in Grazia. I've seen the H&M one in our local store. :)

woo i has my edith piaf dress

well actually i doesn't cos it's late-40s into new look shape rather than late-30s wartime style. and it's silk not crepe cos all i'm seeing is rayon crepe and that stuff scares the shit out of me care/cleaning wise. but i reckon it's about as far towards 50s as i can manage - i don't think i can carry off the really girlish styles, but a plain black full skirted dress should be okay :hmm:

and of course there's no telling if it's actually going to fit. and it's coming from the states so long wait/customs etc.

so yeah, great purchase

fingers crossed for you bob. :)

I forget this thread is slap as well. Will contribute more! I'm pretty much incapable of popping into superdrug and not buying some shade of something.

For the record, those lipfinity liptint/stain things. The pens they're currently advertising. They're shit! Not kiss proof!

have you been doing extensive testing? :D

 naah. Just a little. :D

Whereas actual lipfinity used to last an entire night (although, I think they've changed it since it came out - or mine are old and claggy). I'm liking some revlon colour then gloss thing (along the lipfinity lines) that stays on and is still intact the next morning.

I love the red lipfinity gloss and lipstick in the same tube rather than the seperates, BUT I hate the way lipfinity DRIES your lips generally, and you can't really top it up as it goes bitty...:( The ink stain didn't look red enough for me wtfftw, and I remember buying lipink from Body Shop in the 90's that was pretty much the same thing!

Not smoking anymore has it's advantages mind as lippy stays on a lot better and I don't get transference onto my fingers from fagends. :D

Oh, sorry MsT it seems we were  :)

i have that stuff you paint on over the top of any old lippy - used to see it advertised in the back of just 17 can't remember for the life of me what it's called. anyway they were giving them away free on their website, works a treat :)
