I love Scaramanga bags, I'm still pining for the tote. I do have the money for it but it seems a bit extravagant when I don't have a job. Hmmm

The tote might fit a small laptop/MacBook

They've also got a laptop briefcase and a portfolio case that would probably fit a 15 inch - might be a bit too tight for space I guess.

<snip> a pair of Clarks sandals delivered too but they're also going back.. my stupid wide feet - they are even wide fit and still don't fit. <snip>
*Solidarity fistbump* buying shoes has never been a pleasure for me.

Try shoetailor.com - a lot of their footwear goes to an EEE fitting (and wider) without looking like something you'd only wear if prescribed it. They also have a fitting guide, including width measurements, to reduce disappointment and frustration.

Hotter also send out a width measuring guide, but IME a lot of their stuff (as with Clarks) tends to be quite a narrow "wide", and their extra wide things have quite a limited range. Perhaps not to your taste, but have a look, just in case?

thanks.. I'll look at shoetailor - there's actually a Hotter shop in Bromley and I went in to look last week in the hope that in the flesh the shoes wouldn't look so bad but it really is so dire. I need wide fitting but also something quite supportive - it seems that this means I can only get shoes that even Gloria Hunniford would turn her nose up at.

Actually it's fine because i normally wear trainers/birkenstocks but I wanted something smart but nice for work.

Gonna check out that link now - I have 3 pairs of unsatisfactory shoes here to go back! *sigh*

Argh. I was well pleased with myself because
Papillio%20Tabora%20Birko-Flor®%20Zebra%20Black%20213241%20-%20BLACK_6463_300x300.jpg

half price. But the toe loop is a bit fucking big. Not just the toe loop really the whole front of foot loop. The foot bed fits tho and the back strap adjusts.... Waaaaaah.

ETA the footbed doesn't fit actually. Wankers.

A colleague told me about www.moshulu.co.uk , I had never heard of them.

I've got quite a few pairs from them - they have shops mainly in the west country but a few others dotted around. I have a pair of loafers which are very comfortable and have lasted years - if I'm down in Cornwall I try and go to one of their shops.

Following this post, I found some cheap docs online. Black smooth and 8 eyelet, the same as my first pair.
He also got some DM boots and I'm really jealous. They were 60 quid with my student discount and I want them so badly. 60 bloody miles to go back though. [emoji35]
I bloody love them and feel 15 all over again. [emoji41]

Couple of shirts and other bits in the uniqlo sale and this coat.
Tried it ages ago and loved it but not enough for 90 quid then it was reissued with a nice camo lining but still not worth 90.
Chuffed to see it down to 60 and it looks really fucking good on, not as formal as it looks here (especially with the collars up ;)) as the fabric is very light

Yes, yes! Am wearing some cobalt blue ones now! (For the hamlet game). I don't have v long legs, my problem is thigh girth - and I have tried so many specialist fat bird tights (so not just XL) which go nowhere near. These are great!

They also have the three-seam construction that Evans tights do, to accommodate the arse - however, unlike my Evans tights, they don't puddle into wrinkles around my feet - so they may not be long enough for you. Worth a try for sure, and decent quality.
I bought a couple of pairs of the Myasi tights to wear both at the same time as they're not very opaque but are very cheap, and that worked pretty well. Nice emerald green. Also bought a pair of 120 denier ones from Pamela Mann which I more or less got through the day in although there was a bit of downward movement - and then I laddered them. Since when did tights that opaque ladder??? So that was another £8 + p&p down the drain
