Another 3 shrugs (dark brown, silver grey, and purple) in the hope that there's ever enough sun this year for my arms to burn.

La Redoute managed to tempt me with 25% off/free postage for a limited period:

Trousers which should come out full length on me, hopefully suitable for work, but fine if they're not, as I need more casual trousers too - can't really tell until I put them on. Can only find tiny pic, but it's a sort of abstract squiggly b/w print.

the girls range in clarks is really good, nothing to be embarrassed about. shame the vast majority of the blokes shoes make your feet look like potatoes though :(

Got these today from a charity shop for 10 quid!!! Hardly worn and the right size. Also got some other clothes none of which fit:rolleyes: so they will go in the size to aspire to section of my wardrobe:)

I meant compared to the DM brogues. I think I just feel a bit embarrassed that on the rare occasion I buy anything other than another pair of Converse, I do so from Clarks :D
A lot of my favourite shoes are from Clarks all leather and well made :)

Can you wear a tie with that sort of jacket? I'm new to all this! I think it has to be a suit, but I may see if I can get away with it next term

Yup. You'd call that a sports jacket. At our school the male staff wear collar and tie with suit-style trouses but only have to put on their jackets for formal occasions (assembly, meeting parents etc). They therefore keep one jacket in school which often doesn't exactly match. a sports jacket is just a tailored suit-style jacket with lapels and suit-style pockets, but which isn't designed to be worn with matching trousers. It's like a blazer, but blazers generally have a patch pocket on the breast and sides, and associations of uniform.

Right, I get ya. Ta! I don't like wearing a shirt without something over it, so will persevere with a jacket or a sweater (if I can get away with it). Dunno what I'll do when it gets warmer though
