Detail your latest clothes and slap related purchases here #2

My clothes came and none of them fit. :( Mr Yu is going to be so annoyed with me, I am really not sure how to return things in Chinese. I measured myself! I don't know how I could have gained weight in 5 days?
You haven't - clothes often bear no resemblance to the size they're meant to be.

Why is he annoyed with you? It's not your fault they don't fit

He wasn't. :) But he could justifiably have been, I'm burning through his money at the moment.

Thanks. :) Actually I just tried on the final item and it fits perfectly, and the trousers do fit, but maybe make me look a bit pear-ish. I think it's my shoulders, I went on waist and bust measurements so tbf to the seller I think they were accurate. I will try wearing the things that are a bit tight and see if they stretch, or rip. :D

These boots:

Plus a purple, sleeveless cowl neck top from French Connection, a long sleeved cream and black striped cowl neck top from H&M, a jumper for work from M&S, and a bottle of Estee Lauder Sensuous.

I had a proper splurge today, I haven't had one for months and it felt great

A vintage aran cardigan from Brick Lane. How hipster. Saw it last week and ummed and aahed a bit but actually I think it'll be a useful thing I wear a lot, and both times I tried it on I didn't want to take it off. Not entirely sure what's going on with the collar but I like it anyway.

I think I might have to pointedly start saying "second hand" instead of "vintage" as it does get on my nerves a bit.

And a knee length black sprkly dress from TKs. Also a pair of these:

I bought this today to keep me warm when walking the dogs. I bought a similar one last year but it was a sort of pale beige so that I could easily be seen by car headlights in the dark. Unfortunately it made me look like a bloody granny in a beige anorak so I've got shut of it and got this instead.

I need to get something like that for walking Ez to and from school while pushing a pushchair - I've seen some cheapo versions on eBay, as can't afford real deal. I'm not generally keen on the style, as being barely over 5ft, they'll tend to make me look like a wrapped-up present, but I think it'll be the only way to be warm and dry on the school run, which is a 20-25 min walk each way, with my hands full.

Nice Jacket
I think I'm a bit confused about asos  I thought it was a retailer of modern fashion brands. I didn't realise that vintage clothing was involved. What is asos exactly?

Asos is the modern fashion stuff. They also have a separate site called Asos market place. Marketplace is a bit like ebay but not as cheap. individual sellers, designers etc can put up stuff for sale on there and asos take a monthly fee plus 20% commission for 'boutiques', 10% for individuals. There's some good stuff on there :)

Thanks, I had no idea about that

I have to take the dogs out as soon as I get out of bed at 7am. They hear me get up and are suddenly desperate to go out  I don't mind in summer when It's light early because I love the mornings then.
Anyway, I need something cosy and warm as well as being a bit of a treat, that I feel I deserve, for dragging myself out in the dark in the middle of winter.
They aren't very stylish coats but they do the job. It's like going out with your duvet wrapped around you :)

Nothing exciting, just a load of socks, Heatech thermal long sleeved tops (got in quick before all the good colours go) and a couple of wooly jumpers from Uniqlo. Oh, and a very lightweight waterproofy jackety type thing for running when my bastard legs start working again.

Yeah, I realised style (and possibly dignity in my case) will have to take a back seat, but I'm determined to walk her to school and back as often as possible, rain or shine. Snow might be an exception, mind, as pushing the buggy through it is hell, and I'm not sure I'm strong enough to carry Ziggy in the back carrier both ways.

Wouldn't be very safe either as it could be slippery.

I had to carry Daniel to and from school for a few days in the back carrier when he was nearly three in the winter of 2010-11 because the snow was really bad, a pushchair was literally impossible and his little legs couldn't cope with it either because the pavements weren't cleared. It was a bit alarming but I had hiking boots on and managed. It did my back in though (I'm only 5'2")
