I bought this, which is lovely and doesn't come with that belt, which I don't like:

the problem is they're both a bit on the large size and they've run out of smaller sizes. The dress doesn't matter really, I'll wear it cinched in with a belt anyway - but the coat really is very large. I'm going to have to send it back. This is the 2nd one I've bought from ASOS with this problem - sent the last one back too. I've been looking for a parka like this for ages but it's proving really difficult. They all seem to be cut differently and I want one that's reasonably baggy but not enormous! A lot of them are really expensive too. I also want it hooded and khaki. It doesn't help that I don't stay one size for longer than 5 minutes.
Prob a bit late but I got a parka like this from M&S Autograph last year. Maybe they will do something similar again. It doesn't have fur but is lovely and silky with brass bits and foldable back arms which is my current obsession.

no - that's worth knowing. I have now ordered a 2nd one from ASOS who had a 3 hour sale on coats on Sun night - got a Vera Moda one marked down from £90-£50... no idea what Vera Moda stuff is like - but it's a regular cut, as opposed to an oversize cut and it's padded, so I suspect it won't be what I'm looking for. I'll have to send them both back together!
Basically I want one that's a bit baggy, medium weight so I can wear jumpers underneath if it's very cold but also not melt completely on autumn/spring days. Is that too much to ask? Is it?

Btw - little vesty dresses with flared hems - cant believe more people don't wear these with leggings to disguise tummy/thighs/arse when exercising. I googled "workout dress" and found almost nothing!

also, NEW MASCARA and NEW LIQUID EYELINER. With what I bought yesterday that's more than I've spent on myself in about 3 years I think. Have assuaged the guilt by also buying daughter some more leggings, a t-shirt, some vests and socks, and the boys some funky socks (they didn't really need much else, daughter has had a growth spurt) and new machine washable pillows to replace their manky horrible slightly-peed-and-vommed-on ones.
