diane abbot sending her son to private scholl is a disgrace maybe she should spend more time fighting for a decent education for all and less with those scumbags portillo and neill (is she still doing that awful show btw)

that show is still on. my point is that if you have a kid, you will want the best your money can get for his education. doesn't matter your ideals, that is what you will do, but yes I agree, thay should fight for not just good but the best education for all.

No, you called yourself an "authoritarian socialist"...or are you now telling us that you've never referred to yourself as such?

Pillock.:D

I know...I know and you and VP think of yourselves as Libertarians.....
But when push comes to shove....Its funny just what a pair of confused conformists you are.....Him the soldier who went on to work for the home office.....You the teacher......Who wants to tell everyone off for not paying enough attention to you....

scabby hypocritical cow....
Black on the outside hypocritical liberal white on the inside.

But is her skin pigmentation the issue that defines her politics/opportunism/hypocricy? And if not why draw attention to it?? (regardless of whether or not she may use such links to legitimise what she does on occasion).

It says nowt about her and more about how you see her other than her dodgy politics

what's "hypocritical liberal" got to do with skin colour, mr racist?

Nothing neccesarily but in the specific case of Diane Abbott it does have......

the only time i've ever heard the term coconut used in that way was at a swp meeting about south africa. It was made by the speaker, a black south african, criticising Nelson Mandela. It's only today that i've heard someone claim it's racist.

nino_savatte said:
So, it isn't possible to be a Black liberal then?

You're a queer fellow, balders.

Of course its possible to be a Black Liberal or Socialist or Tory or Fascist.....
What kind of shit goes thru your head nino....

I could ask the same question, shit-for-brains. You're something of an expert when it comes to spewing shite. I take my cue from you, in case you don't know. :D

You are somebody who comes across as an arch conformist...
You want to put everybody in neat little boxes.....

How many times do you come out with phrases like tabloidesque......
You believe in the natural order of things where you can judge somebody on the basis of the paper they read.....And how much they agree with your very narrow minded views....

I think thats a bit out of order....I would never refer to somebody who stood by their beliefs for 24 years in prison as a coconut.........

I might have called the speaker at the SWP meeting a coconut though...

"black on the outside, white on the inside", sounds racist to me if you ask me.

is diane abbott not a human being like everybody else?

guinnessdrinker said:
so what does diane abbott's skin colour got to do with "hypocritical liberal" smears? please tell us.

She only got to be an MP cos she was a nice tame Black woman.....A tokenistic twat.......

tbaldwin said:

so you are saying the labour party was racist in selecting her because she was selected as a black person and not someone who could be a good MP and who actually keeps on getting reelected?

Whereas you're just an embittered wee man who gets his jollies from posting nonsense. :p

Are you still listening to Skrewdriver, balders? Have you got a piccie of Ian Stuart Donaldson on your bedroom wall? Tragic death, eh?

I love it when the likes of teacher nino and soldier violent panda call me authoritarian........

I haven't called you "authoritarian", windbag. That's a name you call yourself, probably in a desperate but doomed attempt to give yourself a boner. :)

I think you will find the context was somewhat different.

Still not the sort of thing you would hear from any of my SA cdes though at a public meeting - their priority was class...

Unfortunately, I have heard it used in a racist way several times, as per tbaldwin's explanation of it being someone who is black on the outside only, because they behave like a white person!

Fuck me but you're ignorant.

She didn't get her seat because she was a "tame black woman", she got it on merit, back in the days where constituency selection committees had the final say, and usually made their decisions based on sound political.

You may or may not remember (obviously not in this case) that selection committees weren't ever allowed to select on race, and weren't allowed to select on gender either, in the eighties ("Emily's List" etc came about in the 1990s). In fact if you've got any political memory at all you'll recall the bucketloads of shit the Labour Party Black Sections got for even proposing favouritism in selection to get a decent ethnic balance of MPs.

What a cunt you are, Balders.

Unfortunately for Balders, the truth is that if the Labour Party had selected her for her constituency on grounds of colour or race, then any other candidate on the selection list could have taken her constituency party to court and had her selection revoked, simple as that.

Yet again Mr Baldwin is allowing the fantasy scenarios in his head free rein at the expense of accuracy. :)

I wonder if he realsies in just how bad a light he's painted himself?

If he does I have no doubt he'll (if he doesn't ignore the thread and hope it slides off the board) get his mates on the thread to tell us about Balders' sterling contributions to anti-racism. Either that or he'll accuse everyone of being "LIBERAL SUPREMACISTS" or some other such Baldwinesque tosh.

No...I am not against positive discrimination.
But out of the Black people they could have chosen they chose her........And i do think that shows a degree of racism.
