Crap, unreliable parcel delivery/courier companies - feel free to vent here

I found the house it was delivered to, on my street. The teenage boy that lives there took it. Mum answered the door and although initially denied it, the photo evidence was clear. The boy admitted he took it cus the delivery person handed it to him.could
not deny the evidence. They had a look and can not find it and have asked me to bear with them until dad returns as they think he has put it somewhere.

I asked the boy why he didn't call round with it.....but yknow teenagers- prob forgot.

I was suitably assertive but explained that I was not blaming them as ultimately it is tge delivery person at fault. I also suggested that they don't succumb to being pressured to take neighbours parcels.

Today I am going to try to identify the door in the photo evidence of my parcel being delivered.

Evris response is " We don't know where it is, we are sorry you have had a terrible experience, it's your problem now"
Our local Facebook groups are littered with posts along the lines of 'Does anyone recognise this doorstep, porch etc., as <insert courier> has left my parcel there and it's not my house'

Please tell me that's not word for word their response and not you paraphrasing for comedic effect
Word for Word omitting personal details:

I would advise due to the amount of time that has passed since this delivery was said to have been made and you still not have been able to locate the parcel, we would have to unfortunately deem this as unaccounted for. If you have not done so already then, the quickest way to resolve this would be to contact the retailer, they will be able to discuss the next steps available to you which may include a refund or replacement and in turn they will contact us on your behalf regarding this delivery as this is the contractual agreement that we have in place with them. You can use this email as proof that you have contacted us, and these are the next steps we advise. I know that this can be frustrating as neither you nor the retailer have done anything wrong, but please know that we will work with them throughout the process once they contact us.

I will pass on information regarding this delivery to the courier’s manager to ensure that next time the parcel is left safely avoiding this situation and ensuring you receive the standard of delivery that we expect from our couriers. Please accept my apologies for your poor experience.

If you need anything in the future, please contact your Evri Customer Service Team and we’ll be happy to help.

Kind regards,
Tom

Win, evril refunded £50 of eldest sons orders showed delivered to random shed two weeks ago. These showed up through the door marked as left in someone else's shed 4 doors away. On a house with the same number but wrong street and a giant sign saying the house name, which is not ours.

So I'm getting a refund from Clarks and a £25 off voucher, because they no longer have those boots in my size.

I went back to the house where the parcel was. Now they are saying- the boy is saying that tge evri delivery guy handed him the parcel, took a photo then took it back. I believe this because the photo of the parcel being delivered has mysteriously disappeared from my email.

I've implored the young lad, not to feel intimidated to accept people he doesn't know's parcels. Have pointed out that the delivery guy is leaving him to do his job....and that as the evidence had shown him receiving the parcel that technically he was responsible and that we have both been stitched up by delivery driver.

So gonna launch a massive complaint- they make it really hard to contact them....but I will find a more direct way, via money saving expert and here.

I'll dig out the email address for Evri's CEO, it worked wonders on my complaint. Give me a few minutes...

Yodel had a parcel for me. The Yodel delivery person buzzed then got bored of waiting in the few seconds it took me to get from my desk to buzz him in, then dumped my parcel at the shop downstairs.

Evri have done something with my parcel.

It was supposed to be delivered 5-7 last night, but no sign of it and no updated delivery window provided.

This morning they bring a different parcel. No sign of other one.

Get a notification it's 'slightly delayed' and it will be delivered tomorrow. Honest. Have asked them to explain why it's delayed.

It's just been delivered.

I think things only get done when multiple requests for help are logged in the system.

kalidarkone did you have any luck with the Evri CEO?

My postie managed to not redliver something on automatic redelivery again (I had the audacity to be away for two days with work at the start of the week). Had to book a redelivery once he designed to deliver the red card, hopefully it should appear tomorrow..

Maybe.

Sooooo.....

Buzzer rang, was expecting pharmacy delivery.

It was the parcel postie, dropping off a medium sized parcel. I couldn't think what I had ordered that size.

Opened it to discover it was stuff I had ordered early December that had gone missing. The parcel contents are all there , but the jiffy bag has been repaired in a few places and looks like it was wrestled free from a crocodile.

Where has it been for seven weeks

I haven't bothered tbh. I've had to prioritise other complaints.

Sounds like the original package had been fighting with either the sorting equipment itself, or the conveyors in the sorting office(s)

It's weird, I have often in the past received orders from this supplier in bags and there is always a hole through the bag in the same place. This was the first one that clearly been ripped on something but taped shut. No contents lost.

I think it's partly the quality of the envelopes used, the outer is fairly thin and the internal bubblewrap surface isn't high quality.

But also, where has it been for six weeks????

If I am stop 83, and the DHL driver spent less than an hour going from stop 18 to stop 23, before completely coming to a halt for 45 minutes, can I reasonably assume that I don’t have to get out of bed and go downstairs until early evening?
