Crap, unreliable parcel delivery/courier companies - feel free to vent here

Waiting for a order that is being delivered by Evri. It's not urgent at all, but when I put in the tracking number on their website it just doesn't show anything - and just takes me back to the previous page. Tried different browsers to no avail.

It'd be nice to have a rough idea of what day they'll deliver, that's all.
The Evri service is bad enough, but their technology is so awful that it actually succeeds - incredibly - in making it even worse.

OH has had an infuriating time with Evri.

Parcel was due to arrive by 4pm yesterday, but didn't. Although a large black van full of parcels pulled up, with the driver then rummaging among the parcels but then leaving. On trying to track it, when inputting the tracking number he got the details of the last parcel he ordered - which had been delivered. He asked them to contact him, via their chatbot and asked to be contacted by phone, not email. So they emailed.

And showed what was meant to be a picture of the delivered item - only it was a blank space.

Today the same large black van arrived. OH goes out to see if it's for his parcel and driver says, yes, there's a parcel for this address. Only it's for me :D:D much to his chagrin.

The same guy eventually did come back with OH's parcel, but what a nightmare! Luckily, it wasn't anything urgent or desperately important.

I said 'weren't Evri the ones that changed their name from Hermes?' to which he relied 'SHOULD HAVE CHANGED IT TO HERPES!'

Expecting a package via Royal Mail. Initially they said hereby 1.30. Then by 2.30. except the tracking info shows it was scanned by a delivery office on the east side of Glasgow, and which is not my usual delivery office on the west side.

I am not hopeful.

ETA. I'd given up, then it appeared about 5.30.

I’ve come to vent my annoyance with UPS.

I’m expecting an Apple parcel, it was delivered to a Yeep! Locker by UPS on Friday, no code provided to collect over the weekend, so I called them on Monday, they said they’d get back to me in 24 hours, I had an email yesterday and confirmed the shipping number and then called last night, they’ll get back to me today, called this morning, they’ll get back to me in one hour, then got an email saying they’ll get back to me in 48 hours.

I’m never actually going to get this item am I?

Not looking good to be honest

DHL have just eared my ire !

Had a quite heavy parcel due on Monday.
Got a phone call, it had been delivered to some farm about 10-15 miles away ...
the occupants of the farm rang up to tell me.
Started to arrange to go and collect it.

Very luckily, the driver has redeemed himself, and before I had a chance to whinge at DHL.
At his next stop, he realised he'd dropped off the wrong item and was on his way back to collect it, drop off their item he was supposed to have delivered to them and then he would deliver my heavy lump, even more luckily, there was still someone at the workshop to accept said lump.

Sorted out, but what a palaver !

Fedex
Dumps package behind the bins in the rain, rings the bell and runs off.

Package needs to be returned, doesn't turn up.

Useless.

Slightly better than the plonker who dumped a parcel IN the bin, on bin day with the bin lorry actually visible at the far end of the road ...

Luckily my neighbour was on the ball, she grabbed said parcel and dropped a note into my letterbox.

is there any way to find out who/where a Royal Mail parcel came from?

received a parcel today. Royal Mail tracked 48 label with my name & address, but there's no return address / sender info.
it seems to be an xmas present as wrapped in shiny paper so I don't want to open that for clues for 2 weeks.
I got the parcel delivery due tomorrow & parcel been delivered emails so must be from someone I know well enough that they have my email.

the website tracking info only show that it was dropped at a Parcelshop on 9th and got to the London Central MC 10th. nothing specific about where that Parcelshop is or who sent it.

You could always just wait until Christmas and not ruin the surprise?
