I was expecting a tiny replica of the Bullring to be lowered onto the stage.

Not the Commonwealth Games but the European Championships where Joe Fraser had just won the All Round gold in the Gymnastics. The first British athlete to do this.

I've been enjoying these Euro games, and I'm pleased the idea of grouping them all into one (started in 2018) has taken off. TIL the swimming/diving is seperate (hence Rome not Munich), but Auntie are presenting the two as one event

Me too, like the Olympics it's interesting to watch sports I wouldn't normally such as climbing and, currently, mountain biking.

I've been enjoying the diving too, especially the synchro
