Have you come across this? Ive not heard the term until 5 minutes ago.
Seems to be a far right tactic? film deprived areas and voice over about the country falling apart (which it is tbf), also bleeds into antimigrant stuff, filming migrant hotels, but I think also some freeman of the land stuff?
These videos are widely watched and there's seemingly lots of people adopting it as a tactic.
Plus making some good money off it too I expect.

I recently watched a fella riding around Bexhill on his moped talking about this and that place, how he played football here is a kid, how this used to be such and such a building and got knocked down, fairly enjoyable if a bit self indulgent as lots about his mate who lived here and so on...then after 15 minutes or so in it just became an antimigrant rant. This stuff is everywhere....

I thought it also referred to those filming Police arrests and so on? IIRC that's where I heard the term but can't remember exactly where, though I think may have been QAA podcast.

Although yes, I think you're right. Possibly they were referring to the dodgy types filming counter protesters in the summer now I think about it.

I watch quite a few ‘auditors’ but I’ve never come accross any with a far right agenda.

The ones I watch are mostly concerned with civil liberties for right to film in public - or at least that’s the pretence - the thing that generates the views are the confrontations with people who don’t know the law with respect to filming in public, and the ensuing rows/fights/police interactions that come from these altercations with jobsworths and security guards etc.

DJ Audits and The Laughing Auditor are two to check out. Theres also others like Auditing Britain and Auditing Yorkshire and a dozen or more others. They’re all a bit of a one trick pony but some of the altercations can be amusing.

They began during the lockdown I think. Lockdown and covid skeptics / deniers walking around maskless in hospitals etc and claiming there was no one ill with Covid.

This is the reason why my dentist has a no photos or video in the practice (I asked them).

We have had issues with auditors at work, getting past security somehow and ending up in areas they should not be in

Also suspect a strong crossover with the nonce hunter types

100% it;s freewibbler stuff , also trying to goad Police officers into 'pleece broodality' by being a genuine intel nuisance and behaving in the way that a genuine terrorist would

'nonce hunters' like auditors and the participants in the Farage riots are often projecting onto others their own proven criminality

I;ve always wondered why the 'anti surveillance' types don't use the extact tactices that Police FIT use at protests etc, but then again getting usable evidence and high quality footage / stills doesn;t make quite as good press as intervening and making a nuisance of oneself ... ( ditto 'Hunt Monitors')

Anything that causes a nuisance to land-owning aristocracy, lower gentry and forelock-tugging class traitors and interrupts their leisure time on stolen land is good, and isn't the same as someone using the multifactorial social problem of CSA and exploitation to self-aggrandise and assert some kind of authority over others. The latter are inadequate bullies in other areas of their lives.

I used to quite enjoy Power to the Proletariat - he often went round job centres filming in the public information areas totally legally and exposing breaches of GDPR by the poorly run offices. The run ins with G4S security and the police were mint.
