as the duchess of cambridge is rushed to hospital...

Yeh. Turkey didn't exist at that point, nor indeed for hundreds of years afterwards, so making out his dad was a turk is just stupid.
The proto-Turks (and that's stretching the link) were largeing it up somewhere north west of China in those days. Anatolia was quite a mixed bag if that's where they mean.

Fair point which I hadn't really thought about but by the same token if it pisses of the little englanders which is what I think it's meant to do, that's fine with me.

When the alarm came on this morning it was to an advert by the Daily Mail that they had all the latest developments on the Royal Baby (I could almost hear the caps).
What developments?, he's a day old, he eats, he sleeps and he shits. That's all mine did for the first few months and when my daughter had my grandson last year she assured me that there had been no sudden leaps in human evolution.
I have no particular down on Kate and her son but this fawning is ridiculous.

william and kate have already put their son on the waiting list for the south georgia canals.

Thats a class war slogan, can't you come up with something in your own words? Tut tut tut.

The people in the video in that link are a lot less disruptive than the clowns outside Alder Hey but just as weird, did that woman really say she had been camping there for 13 days waiting for a woman she doesn't know to have a baby? did she think someone would come out and tell her, maybe let her in to see the kid? If she is really interested what is wrong with checking the telly occasionally?

I cannot understand any of this obsession, but I do wonder if there aren't some parallels with the way some of us are commenting here.

Making passing comments on a message board whilst waiting to go home from work versus camping out on pavement for days on end in full costume just to possibly get a brief glimpse of a baby?

Yes I can see where you're going with this.
