There are only so many reporters in the country and so many of them were caught up in the nicola bulley businessRight the police are now making a desperate public appeal for information but as I posted earlier why didn't this story gather much headlines in the media or mass appeals from the police?A baby's life was at threat and now it appears the worst has happened. It could have been avoided.
Maybe the media were obsessing about something else for a few weeks? I really think the Police had a delicate way to go at the time. I can't find fault at the moment.Right the police are now making a desperate public appeal for information but as I posted earlier why didn't this story gather much headlines in the media or mass appeals from the police. It takes a lot of people to follow someone, and depending on the location it can be really difficult to follow people discreetly. For example if they're going through a park, if they've any notion of counter-surveillance techniques and I daresay people who are on the run will be wary of people following themOne thing I am confused about is why the couple weren’t discreetly followed rather than arresting them. I guess they might not have known the baby wasn’t with them until they were approached but it feels like there’s been a missed opportunity there.
What a fucking mess.

What does that mean? Do they think the baby is dead?Police Press Conference - They've been arrested on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter now.
It sounds that way when they say manslaughterWhat does that mean? Do they think the baby is dead?
Yes, you have to give them credit for thati know its not the point but am very surprised that they managed to stay 'missing' for this amount of time, on this small and very surveilled island.

Agree. The CCTV footage was one pixel shite. Amazing that a stack of cash apparently allows one to just catch taxis all over the place.i know its not the point but am very surprised that they managed to stay 'missing' for this amount of time, on this small and very surveilled island.
Swapped it for a Westlife CD.Saw this earlier and same grim thought occurred. Please to God they've somehow handed it off to someone.
It reads like they were using a cash machine outside a shop in Brighton, when spotted, which makes it even weirder .Agree. The CCTV footage was one pixel shite. Amazing that a stack of cash apparently allows one to just catch taxis all over the place.
I read that they started their sojourn with as little as £15,000. I’d assumed more. Buying and abandoning cars, moving around rental properties, taxis up and down the country etc is pretty expensive. It reads like they were using a cash machine outside a shop in Brighton, when spotted, which makes it even weirder .
They are going to be charged with manslaughter, so sadly not.I hope the kid is ok.
If the nipper has died there'll be a child death/serious case review. The facts of what happened and which agencies were involved and any findings of fault will be published in that review. Then there'll probably be some legislative changes if those agencies have failed to protect the child along the way. The only time there are such changes in social policy are when some poor kid dies or there's a miscarriage of justice. All a bit sad really. There’s so much info missing that all is left is speculation. Going on the run when pregnant is off the scale. I feel for the mother and child in that situation who need medical attention. The couple were obviously on the radar for some reason and feared losing the child. But then they perhaps have anyway. Very sad.

AI will be picking up the slack soon enough. The more surveillance there is, the less chance anyone is actually watching any of it.
Security firms do.I'm worried if anyone thought there's someone watching surveillance cameras all the time...
They may charge customers for doing that, but...Security firms do.
