. You can dig back through the thread and see who's focussed on her and tally it up if you like. I'm mainly concerned with Joe's misrepresenting of what's been said and of the facts. His over emphasis on Knox is a side show and, frankly, is a stick to beat him with it's not that important. I still don't think he's doing it for the reasons you suggest though but that's for him to reveal or not.

Because that would mean 30 to 20 with a third off, then back up to 24 to accord with the sentence of his accomplices, then back down to 16 under the fast track once again? That's down, up, and down again, with two fast tracks. Simple it ain't.

You could just as easily ask why so many people spend so much time trying to argue Knox or the McCanns guilty when they would not do so for disputed cases featuring people less wealthy, less powerful, or simply less white. That's why these arguments drag on.
You shouldn't sling the notion of obsession around without examining your own.

Yes it is. His basic sentence was 30 years. After Knox & Sollecito were sentenced, his 'basic' sentence was reduced to the lower of theirs. In each case, the fast track process led to a reduction of a third. As anyone who has actually followed the case knows full well.
You're just repeating the rich, white Americans case verbatim. Very sad.

It wasn't reduced to lower than theirs. It was reduced to to the same as theirs. The fast track didn't kick in each case. Just once. A 24 year sentence minus a third, leaves the 16 years he ended up with.
Even within this simple process, despite being pressed on the matter by me, the utter lack of care displayed by you; the studied indifference to accuracy is illuminating.
You have no in interest in the truth at all. And never have had from day one. You have the mind of bigot. That you are bigoted in this case against a young, pretty, white, wealthy (supposedly) American dosen't excuse or change that.

Knox was the one falsely accused, prosecuted and jailed. Any others drawn into the vortex and also falsely accused and charged thereafter lay with the the people doing the charging.
Now that the facts are all out there, only a half-wit would imply the responsibility for the fiasco ultimately lies with, someone who up to that point had been a carefree middle class teenager who unsurprisingly faltered under intense police interrogation in a foreign country.
Meanwhile the actual killer is already out on a day release after just 9 years (Knox and her co-accused did 8 between them) and taking a course in - criminology. 'Next time...'

She was in custody being questioned for long periods of time, sometimes for 8 hours at a time. Most people would need to move around some time in that length of time.
