farmers showing their appreciation for all the benefits
Remember seeing loads of Leave posters in farmers fields back in 2016.
farmers showing their appreciation for all the benefits
Visions of tractors raining down from the skies on Westminster
farmers showing their appreciation for all the benefits
It's probably an exaggeration to say that farming as a community chose Brexit. The NFU campaigned for remain. It continues to amaze me even after nearly a decade how community after community, from farmers to fishermen to deprived areas, who had all substantially and consistently benefited directly from EU grants and subsidies for decades, not only chose to vote for the option in a referendum that irrevocably would lead to the permanent removal of such benefits, but then looked all shocked at the outcome and complained they had been left off worse off than they previously were.
I recently made a snarky off-the-cuff comment about Brexit at work - in a job I've held since late last year.It continues to amaze me even after nearly a decade how community after community, from farmers to fishermen to deprived areas, who had all substantially and consistently benefited directly from EU grants and subsidies for decades, not only chose to vote for the option in a referendum that irrevocably would lead to the permanent removal of such benefits, but then looked all shocked at the outcome and complained they had been left off worse off than they previously were.
I still have my EU one. But I think it's due for renewal next year, to stay inside the 10 year rule.Once again those pencil-necked desk jockeys in Brussels are punishing the Great British Holidaymaker
Holidaymakers going to EU caught out by 10-year-passport rule
UK passports can have up to 10 years and nine months on them but EU countries won't accept them.www.bbc.co.uk
Frankly I am surprised at this. I thought everyone with a British passport would surely have rushed to exchange their filthy EU-loving red passports for their new Brexit-benefitblueblack patriotic passports the moment they became available years ago? Tsk...
Rightly so. I have always mantained Remain voters should be identified and granted fast track access when entering EU countries, whilst Leavers enjoy their hard-fought new Brexit benefit of 45-minute Border queues, exclusive to those freed of the tyrannical EU ball and chainsThis thread has reminded me my passport expires in November, will be on the lookout for the cheesiest Remainer passport cover possible

The subtext here I reckon is that former foreign secretaries are now being offered less attractive jobs
Tracey Island.Hasn't he spent the last decade in America?
Neo-liberal opposed to Brexit shocker….The subtext here I reckon is that former foreign secretaries are now being offered less attractive jobs
