*thumbs* Had it on repeat since I downloaded it last week. Looking forward to seeing the film when it comes out in the NL in a couple of weeks too.Dr. Dre - Compton
It's ace!

i know exactly what you mean - i feel the sameJust listened to the new Dre album and really really really hated it. I think my hip hop mojo is stuck in the 90s. I only really like it with breakbeats, rather than those awful tinny drum machine beats that are so prevalent in hip hop now. And that terrible autotuned singing nonsense is hard to listen to.
It's no Chronic.
Is there any new 90s style PE/NWA hip hop out there? I know it's a bit retro and I normally spit on all things retro, but fuck it, I have to accept that I'm stuck in the 90s when it comes to reggae.
Cheers, will check it out.i know exactly what you mean - i feel the same

Alright grandads, another good hip hop album released this year is the new one by Earl Sweatshirt - 'I don't like shit, I don't go outside'.
Didn't get to the UK until the middle of this year. From 2014

have you seen/heard his FACT mix - latest one, good stuff pretty chilledMax Richter - Sleep
the new William Basinski album Cascade is quite wonderful - he's touring next week, and I was a bit unsure whether to bother. Not so unsure now.
Seeing that is what prompted me to listen to it (not the 8 hour version).
Not even worth downloading?Public Image Ltd. - What The World Needs Now...
I thoroughly recommend you to ignore this album, its pants. Very disappointing after the quality of This is PIL
Cheers, will check it out.
That Dre post was particularly critical cos I've also listened to the recent FACT mix by Rome Fortune which is all that autotuned poo and weedy rattly beats as well
