....Yes - your accusation of ridiculousness is fair - but it's such a trip that who cares? I'd love to see them play it - they are playing this Incineration Festival in Camden next year.... but not sure about stumping up £90 for that.

New Craven Faults - always a cause for celebration. Only had a distracted listen so far but sounds pretty sweet of course - massive hypnotic analog synth explorations...

New Amyl and the Sniffers out today. First listen sounds good 
It's her voice, as much as the tunes, that I really like. The comparison I'd make is with Emma Pollock, ex of the Delgados, perfect for this style.

Like the sound of this a lot! Never heard much Don Caballero though saw them support Shellac once and they were ace. Don't know El Ten Eleven - will investigate...

The Pixies have another album out, The Night the Zombies Came. I like what I've heard of it a lot more than anything off their last three records.

I gave that a listen for the first time today, and it is good. You know what you're going to get with them, and they do it damn well. They just need to keep the tempo up on every track.
it is pretty nice... Pixies is definitely just a name for Frank Black solo now tho, this sound exactly like his solo albums. If he gets more sales this way then why not I guess
