2015 album recommendations thread

Sounds likely, I dont think he's expecting a capacity crowd.

Teeth of the sea were immense last night, everyone should go and see them: Nottingham tonight, Brighton tomorrow, Cardiff weds or Salford on Friday.

Ohh a goner records thing...
It is almost TOO much what i like in a way, like they took a focus group of what makes cool underground punk in 2015 and did everything right ha

Don't know how I missed your mention of them a page back. Just been listening to Highly Deadly Black Tarantula on bandcamp - strong candidate for my top five this year. Definitely best album title so far too

Another one I can't work out for sure if I like or not.

Dolores Haze - The Haze is Forever.

Catchy, but in a way that might threaten to sound like a novelty act after repeated listens. Featured in the Guardian's insufferably pretentious but occasionally useful New Band of the Week recently.

I cant work out if the new Grimes album is better or worse than visions. Its definitely less fierce/more tuney.

Is it brand new?

I didn't know she had a new one out if so.

Really been enjoying the new Gentlemens Dub Club album.

Jennylee:

= Jenny Lee Lindberg from Warpaint, who did ok in last year's top albums iirc. Solo album out December 11.

He must be pleased then, it was busy. And pretty damn excellent, chuffed to see them there, not been before and I imagine next time won't be so close up. Sievehead were great too.

New Richard Hawley, Hollow Meadows, is growing on me. Initially I thought it was solid but nothing special but over the last few days my opinion of it has grown.

Ooh, the top 50 lists  Always time for a splurge of new listening.

Please post up any others you happen across.
