world's biggest rabbit stolen

not funny, being as poor darius is likely pie filling now

It's more likely someone is desperately trying to errr... 'milk' him to flog the award winning sperm on some dark web forum somewhere. Poor rabbit.

I'm sure a deluge of rabbit related puns is about to arrive any second now as well....

Didn’t some German chap send a few breeding pairs of this type of bunny to North Korea a few years back to help the people. But Kim had them all made into a feast for him?

Eta - I didn’t dream it. Not sure about he voracity of the source though.

Apparently they ate them all, including Robert the world’s then biggest rabbit.

Are these giant rabbits good to eat ? They could be tough & gristly. A bit like giant vegetables you see at shows. Mushy & tasteless if you try eating them. It could be the thief tried to eat Darius found him tough & unpalatable & fed him to his dog. Poor poor Darius. We all hope there is a happy ending but don’t hold your breath. :(

It was the right thing to do. Look at what happened with the introduction of the rabbit to Australia.

Thumper wasn’t called Thumper for nothing!
Quite. I've been kicked in the guts by a 4kg rabbit, and it bloody hurt. Maybe one that size isn't so agile, but basically the back half of a rabbit is solid muscle, all designed to deliver max impulse power to their fucking enormous back feet.

When I was much younger, I recall a news story of a rabbit that had been cornered in a shed by a fox, and had kicked the fox so hard in the face that it killed it. Beatrix Potter was not involved.

Mine used to chase dogs and cats out if the garden and was nowhere near as big as that one.
Rabbits scare the shit out of cats, because they're a bit more upfront with the body language. Cats circle round suspiciously checking out the scene - rabbits barge straight in, bash into whoever, and don't think much about it. My 4kg rabbit would hold all 5 of Mrs E's cats at bay, and would turf them out of their cat blanket thing if he fancied lying in it. He was a bastard :D

Mine was a New Zealand white and weighed 2 stone.
We had a pampas grass in the garden which she loved eating the dry leaves. One day a cat got in the garden and crept beside the fence til it reached the pampas grass at which point the rabbit charged into the pampas grass and the cat took off vertically clearing the 3 foot high fence. :D

I'm not sure whether the same rules apply to enormous rabbits as to normal ones, but that doesn't look like a safe or comfortable way for it to be held.

If it’s not good for a regular size wabbit I expect it’s worse for a mahoosive one.
Some animals are really placid and will uncomplainingly let you do what you want, though.

When I first clicked on thread title I was expecting a humdingingly bad punch line.
