World upside down

You need to be quite high up to observe it as in see it with your own eyes. But if you work in wireless comms like I do, then you will know that a point to point wireless link that requires line of sight needs to be mounted higher the further distance you go to take it into account. Anything over 10km will be affected.

I just reading through the wikipedia explanations of hollow earth. and it says that "The concept of a hollow Earth recurs many times in folklore".. love that. gives me a warm feeling. better than wining a noble prize.

Just looked up to see if the expanding universe effects the earth. It doesn't. It effects massive things like galaxy's but not the earth. The earth is too small and insignificant. We're not expanding.

some odd science that dont look into things deep enough.
going down/outwards has to lead somewhere.
Humans are completely blinkered and conditioned to believe down into earth is the wrong way to go ( the devil, Hell etc).
where as space is ever expanding, heaven light, look up sunny. dont be down. ETC..

I was chatting to my kids & they questioning gravity etc..
Is there a theory out there that deals with the world being inside out?

So when we look at the stars and sun and moon (that general direction) we are actually looking to the center of everything.
And below our feet beyond the grass and dirt and stone magma etc is ever expanding.

If the world was like that then we wouldn't have a horizon like we do. All we would see in the sky was a big wall of stuff sloping upwards towards the 'sky'. Like standing in the middle of a football stadium, or at the bottom of a crater/valley.

I think you'll find that geologists look into the Earth plenty deep enough. All the way, in fact.

As for where going down will lead you, this is already known.

Furthermore the idea that downwards is a Hellish direction is a recent notion, historically. There's been the concept of an underworld for a lot longer, but it hasn't always been thought of as a place of torment where bad people are sent after death. That's a Christian thing.

Ya, that would be the case if it was a small stadium or small crater, but there is no knowledge off the actual distance to the center of the universe so really we are looking into a massive circumference, If that makes sense.

Yes. i just reading this. and as the earth is expanding it sheds layers like skin.

So why aren't we falling inwards towards the sky, if that's what's in the middle? Or is gravity in this theory a repelling force sticking us to the inside of the 'earth'?

how long have we been measuring the size of earth?
Since about the time of Eratosthenes, possibly earlier.

However, should you attempt to appeal to the fact that humans haven't been measuring the Earth since day one, I will point out to you that such an expansion would show up in the geological record, evidence of which we do not see.

Ok i not sure. i got this all of my 6 year old. i dont have answers really, i just looking for reasonable ways to explain its not like this.. and no one can possibly prove it isnt?

But if space itself is expanding, including all the space between the atoms of the earth, and the atoms that make up whatever measuring instrument we use, then any expansion of that space would not be detected because the proportions are all the same. In other words, the earth could be expanding but we can't measure its expansion because the measuring devices are also all expanding and making it look like the earth is staying the same size. Did you ever think of that? Eh? Eh?

Yes I did. That fails to account for the fact that energy density of matter has not changed since measurements began. Also if the energy density of matter was greater in the past then this should be reflected in various natural historical records, geological, cosmological, etc.

Just tell your 6yr old to pay attention during Science lessons at school. A decent teacher will be able to answer all the questions they have. Or try the thing called Google, it has a considerable database of scientific knowledge.

Mind your head on the way out
