I was trying to think of another band as big as them who were working class and could only come up with the Arctic Monkeys. Did a quick Google to check that it wasn't all an act and they were actually loaded, but it seems like they are genuinely working class. Their music is decent, but not a fan of the band. Cunts. Tax-dodging cunts, even.
But working class and successful and nearly as 'big' as Oasis.

Only for bands that are successful while claiming some sort of indie/alternative/innovator status. You won't hear many of us complaining about S Club 7 or Kylie Minogue because there's no pretence, they are what they are.
