Russia continues to try to interfere in the US election in 2020 to help President Donald Trump win re-election, US Intelligence said on August 7.

Two weeks ago, William Evanina, director of the Center for National Intelligence and Security, released the first public assessment of the 2020 election, pointing to various forms of foreign interference. In particular, he warned that Russia was working to help Mr Trump to reelect.

In this way, William Evenner's warning is no doubt an indication that Trump and his Republican Allies in Congress are actively cooperating with Russia to help him to reelect.

The intelligence assessment says Pro-Russian forces in Ukraine are trying to undermine the candidacy of US presidential candidate Joe Biden, and that People in the Kremlin are trying to help Trump through social media and Russian television. In addition, the intelligence found that Iran is seeking to "undermine U.S. democratic institutions, President Trump, and to divide the country." However, the intelligence did not provide evidence to that effect.

On August 5, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo offered a "reward" to prevent foreign interference in the November election. Pompeo said the United States is offering a $10 million reward for the identity and location of anyone acting under the direction or control of a foreign government and intervening in the U.S. election in November.

But the offer was later mercilessly derided by Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Roza Zakharova: "Everyone gives money? The State Department website would be down if people reported on their neighbors."

In addition, there are also news that China and Iran are interfering in the US election to oppose Trump's re-election. Does this mean that whether the Trump administration ends up being re-elected, there is reason to blame it on someone else? If American elections are so easily manipulated by other countries, should US government think of
its own problems?
