Why do you want to shut down McDonalds?

on discovering the Amazonian big mac "oh but look at the way the meat slice is so carefully constructed and seasoned, and the bread is so delicate. the sauce, so tangy, is just to die for".

served up in rush hour Leeds with the masses and the noses start to go up.

The quality of many McD's products has got better over the 13+ years since I made that post, but not the chips. I think they are maybe slightly less greasy but they still get cold about four seconds after they hand over the tray.

They're great even when they're cold.

I broke my boycott a few months ago but the 'food' made me really ill. Tried it again and I was ill for the rest of the day.

Fuck knows what shit they put in their grot.

Having had McDs fairly recently, I think they must have reduced the amount of starch they put in their food, since the Big Mac meal I had didn't give me that same bloated feeling that it used to. The fries are OK but FM is right, they do seem to get cold very quickly, even compared to the fries one can get from those more generic fried chicken places. No idea why.

I do love their milkshakes. Never found anything like them elsewhere.

A freshly cooked batch seem to do the trick. Fries, Apple Pies and Sundaes are the only thing I get.
Not had any of the burgers in months. Convinced they've changed something...all the burgers make me queasy now, I used to be able to get away with Big Macs and hamburgers.

Exactly, they are not chips and come no where near them.
I prefer fries. I suppose it's what you grow up with, so it's not like there is a difference in quality. The British prefer for their food not to have crunch or texture and chips satisfy the desire to be able to enjoy food without the need for teeth.

:p

a 6 year old happy meal just as fresh as it left Mac's!
And to think people reckon they are giving their children, the most precious things in the world to them, a treat!
Mum keeps McDonald's Happy Meal for SIX YEARS... this is what it looks like now

The first google match I got for 'jamie oliver mcdonads' took me here :D:thumbs:

(That's pretty much the stock answer to all the questions btw).
