Jelly piece ... aka jam butty.

cheese n tomato or onion on white bread is what I think of as a WC butty, with marge or salad cream.

but not my favourite, not sure I think that would probably be corned dog n brown sauce with slabs of butter on brown.
or sossige n fried egg for a hot sandwich.

I've never been able to stand marzipan, you can have my share :)
The best way to eat is to open the block you can get from the home baking section and eat it like a bar of chocolate. I did used to always feel sick after finishing a block, but it is weirdly compulsive...

A winner ^

I only really have it in a roll, not bread for some reason :hmm:

It's the texture combo. Crunch of the roll verses the mushy filling.
pretty fancy, frankly

Corned beef has a rep for being slightly grim working class fodda here, akin to spam. Except spam is actually rank. But yeah, corned beef isn't even that cheap now.

Red onion and white pepper, FFS you posh bastard

I genuinely didn't know there was such a thing as a red onion until my twenties

Pretty sure I never eat one til my 20's either TBH.

Corned beef, red onion, English mustard, ground white pepper, in a crusty roll.
<hungry>

Yep. Corned beef and mustard or brown sauce in white bread was a staple lunch when I was a kid.
No onion though... and no crusty roll. A crusty roll was a luxury.

Nobody puts brown sauce on a pie barm. And it's a barm not a roll. Only middle class people say roll.

I was going to say barm but then that could very well start the barm/bun/roll/cob/etc wars with the entire forum splintering into various factions and loathing everyone not affiliated. A bit like it normally is but with more of a bread bias.

And anyyone that knows anything puts brown sauce on a pie barm.
