What's in your glass?

My 'Unread Watched Threads' says there's a post on here from 11pm last night but the last one I can see is by fizzerbird at 9:52pm. :hmm:

<edit> and now it's appeared! Bizarre.

I'd bloody love a cider, but none in and child - currently tearing up the living room  - is a bit too poorly to drag to the shop. Don't want wine or gin *grumble*

Beavertown - Heavy Water - Sour Cherry & Sea Salt Imperial Stout - 9%

So far - heavy - all kinds of burned and charred goodness. Tastes like soil. The cherries are there, but not the friendly Christmassy cherries - the dark musty type - the cherries from the phrase 'bust your cherry'. Drink elicited this comment from ratebeer (where it scored 99, presumably out of 100) : "It has a tart element behind all the thickness and sweetness giving way to a strange flavour at the back which reminds me of toe nails or dead skin." Thankfully not sensing that. Overall, like a plum pudding that has been set on fire and left out in the rain/ thrown in the sea and recovered. Lovely.
