Having become somewhat "hooked" on Aldi's very drinkable blended French pinot noir for most of the year, I'm tentatively trying to use up some of my stash of the same blender's Malbec.
It's more acidic, so definitely needs slightly fatty food to work with.
Not quite so much fruit, but day two and a delicate floral note has emerged from the acidity.

Shiraz-Cabernet. Very pleasant.

Next will be a Cardhu 12yr old single malt for a nightcap. Fiery liquid toffee.

Not sure what to do with it, tbh - I normally make a fiendish Martini with nice gin, but it's too strong and 'warming' for a chilly drink. Seems a shame to dilute it with tonic. Might just drink it neat

Back on the Aldi blended pinot noir - since summer has returned for a few days.
I even grabbed two bottles of Doom Bar earlier, but I don't know when I'll actually find the right moment.
(two days per bottle - with beer not keeping as well as wine)

I *really* feel like drinking about five or six more, but not sure it's a good idea.
