Peppers stuffed with couscous, with some of last night's tomato sauce, carrots and roast spuds.

We had homemade steak, mushroom and red wine pie with roasted new potatoes, roasted carrots and green beans. We then had summers fruits crumble with cream for dessert. When I decided on this I had not considered all the pastryness but never mind. It was very nice. My friend came round with her 14 month old and he had sausage and mash because the pie would have been too rich for him.

Will have leftover mac and cheese if I feel peckish later.

I'm not cooking today; The Albatross is. :D

It promises to be New York strip steaks, baked potatoes and grilled multi-veg. Green salad may or may not be involved. Something store bought for dessert.

Not sure really, can't make my mind up.

Think I'll have a wild mushroom salad now as I'm meeting the vegan punk later and might be bad snogging if I've eaten meat.

And herby roast chicken later with rice and corn. :)

Red lentil dahl and rice, perhaps supplemented with pitta. A big big potful so I can freeze some for ron.

Then the icecream that we didn't have room for last night. Might chuck some maple syrup on that.

Rabbit casserole with mash and purple broccoli. Bought the rabbit on the farmers market this morning.

Eeeeeh, I remember when you were a vegetarian :D
And D has just reminded me that you claimed you were going vegan once, when a tad refreshed

A veggie stew - onion, pepper, spud, swede, carrot and courgette, flavoured with garlic and a bit of pesto. Nice and warming for a chilly evening.

Really fancy a home made roast dinner, with ALL the trimmings... but don't have any of the things in or the energy :D so think it might be pasta and pesto or noodles for one <sigh>

nothing because mr feyr has eaten the last of the bread  which means there is none for the kids to have toast in the morning , he also used the last of the milk and eggs so the kids will get to have tinned spagetti with bacon for breakfast, he will no doubt grab something on his way to work and i wont have anything untill i have taken the kids to school/childcare and can get to the shops or more likely, when i get to work at 1 , ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i am one angry (and hungry!) feyr

That's crap feyr. Can you not nip to a neighbour and borrow some till the morning? Or pop to a garage, they're usually open late? :(

i don't know what i'm going to have yet. maybe some bratwursts with sauerkraut and mustard and some beans on the side.

our local ( well, 40 min walk) garage shuts at 10 :( i am eating peanut butter with a spoon and am making mr feyr sleep on the sofa as punishment :D

mmmm virtual pizza. non-fattening

Good heavens! There are folk hereabouts almost coming to blows over day-old rice, ffs!

What must they be thinking about turning an innocent jar of peanut butter into some kind of petri dish for that sort of bacteriological cultivation?

:D

You have to be careful with rice mind!
The surface area means it goes bad quicker than other starches.
Reminds me to try and shove my leftovers in the fridge.

Of course feyr, you could always make some bread............. :hmm:

i have some ancient gluten free flour but no yeast

hmmmm i could make pancakes :hmm:

eating peanut butter with your finger while typing gives you sticky keys:mad:

Last night we had a very exciting tea, went to the beach and found vast amounts of little vongole clams, so made them into a yummy garlicky tomatoey sauce with spaghetti. It was tasty, and virtually free! Gonna go back next week and get more to make clam chowder :)
Tonight though I think there will be no cooking. We will be mostly hiking in the daytime, so off out for mexican tonight.
