No kids tonight, so maybe chilli...maybe a beanburger...maybe a king prawn stir fry.... :hmm: ...whatever it is it'll be quick and easy so that I can settle in for a good session of undisturbed  dvd watching.

Crisps will feature too.

My barbeque rocked! I am the queen of grilled meats. Tonight I'll have the leftovers - cold lemon chicken, coleslaw and potato salad.

Kheema! http://101things.wordpress.com/2006/06/17/kheema-matar-minced-lamb-curry-with-peas/

It's probably my favourite recipe, and certainly one of the most popular.

Did this last night, found all the ingredients apart from the coriander seeds. Treated myself to a fresh coriander plant though which is now sitting by the window.

(if anyone makes a joke about my tablecloth then I will come around and kill you!!!!!)

Tonight I have not yet decided but I do fancy a big plate of sliced tomatoes and mozarella and basil. But I can't get hold of any decent tomatoes.

No idea tonight, Friday's are always a bit vague.

It could be wicked sausages with cheddar mash, peas and gravy.
It may just be a toasted cheese sarnie

Who can say?

*adds soj to the list of urbanites i would do rudeness to(despite her soup discrimanation!)*
looking lovely there soj:)

ooo you minx feyr! :D

Well, I won't be having tom kha gai after all, cos I couldn't even find any bloody birds eye chillis, or pak choi, so am instead having leftover chilli. harrumph

You see, if you'd frozen the chillis you wouldn't have been having this issue. Spinach would have worked ok as a replacement for the choi...
:p

hactually, i defrosted my freezer 2 weeks ago and threw out some ancient birds eye chillis. on reflection, i should have saved them :( DAMN!!! yeh, i know re spinach, but i was in such a strop about the chillis that i didn't want to compromise on anything more. i'm my own worst enemy at times

i probably couldn't have been arsed cooking it anyway after the shite day i've had so far, with a ridiculously long drive to go at the end of it...on the M6, which once again some total tit will have crashed on and there will be delays

*sigh* woe is me

Sausage sandwiches. It's the end of the week and we've run out of food. I'm having sausage and marmalade though so it's fairly exciting.

I've just been to the Italian deli and went rather extravagant. So we're having bresaola, organic buffalo mozarella, marinaded artichokes and pugliese bread with balsamic vinegar and olive oil we brought back from Tuscany. I am actually a living embodiment of the middle classes.

Using the pork loin chops up that I failed to cook last night (pub)

Battered out, covered in seasoned flour, breadcrumbed. Fried and served with spaghetti and fresh tomato sauce.

Last night was a simple cheese sandwich. Tonight is spag bog.

Tomorrow I'm hankering after a take-away curry, but we'll have to see if him indoors is willing to open his wallet for once :hmm:
