Oooh! I was thinking about making burgers tonight - I always struggle getting them to stick together though.

Tell me about these garlicky wedges - how did you make them? They sound just the thing to go with some blue cheese mayo.

I was really impressed with my burger skillz tbh  Having never made anything of the sort with meat before, I expected all sorts of disaster but they held together just fine and went down a treat.

The garlicky wedges were a bit of an experiment too - wedges done the usual way (tossed in olive oil, salt and pepper and baked at about 220 till they were done), but with a finely chopped clove of garlic added to the, ahem, toss-mix. I just had them with Hellman's cos I'm not allowed proper mayonnaise  :but I reckon they would indeed rock with some blue cheese.

northernhord: we'll be having pasta and tomato sauce later on too, but with peppers, lots of fresh chilli and garlic, mmmmmmm. Sometimes the oldies are the best.

I really don't know....maybe some roast veg and bulghur wheat...maybe a spicy beanburger....maybe sushi...maybe salmon and a big salad.... :hmm:  :hmm:

I'm about to go out for a walk and an idle afternoon lying about in the park, so prepared myself by having a Tescos beanburger in half a pitta, with lettuce, a slice of processed cheese   :D some mayo and some ketchup...and I'm totally stuffed now, so reckon I'll just go for the salad option for later!

I think I'll get a milkshake to take to the park though. :hmm:

The teenagers boyfriend is putting together our barbecue (non gas ;)) so it's barbecue a go go in the moomoo household.

I got all the stuff to make a spaghetti carbonara, but the girls bought stuff to make spag bol with, and offered to make tea...so spag bol :D

with key lime pie for afters

im gonna try and re-create this thing again....

its chocolate cake with a hollow middle with hot fudge in the middle with strawberries and cream to one side and a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream on the other...

looks a bit bleurrrgh...but its really nice, i can only handle a bite or two and i usually HATE chocolate.

Finally got round to ordering my curry...tomato makhini paneer, mixed indian veg bhuna (madras hot), kabli chaana, boiled rice and a garlic naan.

I really wish there was a lip smacking smiley...:)

Delicious barbeque food earlier on, several vodkas and a strawberry cornetto. Tasty garlic chips just there with cheese and mayo to be followed by some sweets and chai, in my peejays :)
