preserved lemons, rice and a blob of yogurt on the side.
That sounds great, i'm going to try to make it this weekendMs T said:I haven't actually made this yet, but have made quite a few of his other recipes which have been fab.
Kale colcannon
To make the colcannon, cook the kale in a large saucepan of boiling water for 5 minutes. Drain well, chop finely and set aside.
Put the butter in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the bacon and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until the bacon turns golden. Add the spring onions and cook for a further 2 minutes. Stir in the kale and remove the pan from the heat.
Put the potatoes in a large saucepan and cover with cold water. Bring to the boil and cook for 20 minutes, until soft when pierced with a skewer but not breaking apart. Drain the potatoes well and return them to the pan. Add the butter and mash well. Beat with a wooden spoon until smooth. Stir the kale mixture into the potatoes.

Well I'm gonna give it a go cos I spent a nice couple of hours last night, surrounde by recipe books, planning a whole month's food. That's 30 different dishes. So I went and spent about £130 on food today. Had to clear a new shelf for it. Tonight is smoked haddock with flageolet beans and mustard with spinach.May Kasahara said:I feel like I should come up with something amazing now, just to christen this shiny new thread.
