Then you've got PLENTY of time to cook. Dinner need only take 20 minutes. If you want, I bet a bunch of us could give you recipes that take 20 mins and only use one pan which minimises washing up. I can think of several right now.

I agree....but I don't have much time for teh shopping and the cleaning...:)

But in between girls giving me food, eating at me dads and take out I eat pretty well. Maybe TOO well, need to shed a few lbs :D

Why should he cook if he's happy with what he does? He's fueling the economy, saving valuable time and enjoying his food.

tonight was pasta, with chorizo, onion, garlic, a red pepper, loads of rocket and some pesto

fuck me it was fantastic

I had left over fish and mash from yesterday. Fags and diet coke for pudding.

Will cook something decent on Friday.

i made pasta with bacon, peas, lemon and chilli creme fraiche which was gorgeous.
i also gently fried some corgette ribbons in butter in an attempt to like courgettes and guess what.... i loved it!

had melon and grapes for pudding.

followed by a second pudding of wine and cookies :D

toast. and 8 celebration chocs. too busy too cook. just gonna see if i can get a tesco delivery for tmw with quick food for next few days

Last night was Moroccan style lamb shanks, minus the rose harrisa which should have been kept in the fridge it seems as Flashy said it resembled a cotton wool pad when he opened it  , and garlic and saffron spuds. V nice it was too. Then we had birthday cake for pud :D I think it's roast pork tonight as we have a joint in the freezer and Flashy is still poorly so confined to the house.

I did not make any pastry for a pie yesterday because I was KER-NACKERED. So I still need to think of something tasty and British that can be cooked in less than an hour for two Swedes, one of whom is lactose intolerent. Help!

Findus crispy pancakes, peas and chips

what about bangers n mash with onion gravy then? for the lactose intolerant one you could have crushed spuds instead?

Spag bol

Not really, British people eat it, but that doesn't make it British.
Oh yes it does, the way we cook it.
It's like chicken tikka masala.

Spag bol is British and spaghettic bolognese is Italian - two completely different dishes. Bolognans don't even eat spaghetti with their bolognese, they use tagliatelle

It's Bolognese, not Bolognans. That's why it's called spaghetti bolognese.

Anyway, yeah maybe you're right. I wouldn't object to it, I just don't think it's British. It's not like we don't have plenty of other stuff to eat without hijacking Italian cuisine.

We had pasta with mushrooms in a roasted pepper and tomato sauce, garlic king prawns and broccolli.

Tonight is a teeny half, half shoulder of lamb :D with roast potatoes, greek salad and errrr.....something else...peas maybe, or more broccolli.

And bananas and ice cream for pud for the kids (and naturally I will at the very least, steal a few spoonfulls from their bowls! :p ).
