Is it pretty much the same as a massive christmas roast dinner?
close, its a big roast turkey, mash, gravy, stuffing, candied carrots (or yams), corn, cranberry sauce, buns, etc.....and pie for pudding :D

in my dreams: sausage and mash
in reality: whatever m'lad forages from the wilds of brixton and brings home...
*fingers crossed it's from speedy noodle*

I made soup with:

  • 2 small onions
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 small but hot red chilli
  • 2 sticks of celery
  • 1 parsnip
  • 2 small potatoes
  • 2 jerusalem artichokes
  • 1/2 litre Marigold veg stock

With lots of parmesan on top, and bread and butter to mop up with.

It was fucking gorgeous.

ended up having cubes of yellow pepper, cucumber, goats cheese and ham. dunno what tmw will be, but friday will be steak with roasted veg i think, then sat/sun will be whatever i can make from remains of the veg box :)

last night was a pork and bacon pilau thingy which wsa lovely

Fresh, stuff pasta
Served with an Arrabiata Sauce
Home made garlic bread on the side
Washed down with a couple of glasses of red

I feel like making a hot, tangy, coconutty curry. I've got spuds, some cubes of butternut squash, a load of peppers and courgettes, chillies and onions.

*goes off to search for suitable recipe*

From my freezer ( and from a takeaway a few weeks back) Im having chilli paneer, paneer mahkini, aloo gobi, mixed indian veg bhuna.

Having this with garlic naan, basmati rice and mini onion bhajis. I have enough left to serve me, my BF and his friend !!!

Meal of the month in my book!!!!
Full report tomorrow please!

It was pretty fucking nice!

I dry fried, then ground, some coriander seeds and heated the chickpeas with that and a bit of olive oil, then chucked the spinach in so it was just wilted before mixing it with some raw red onion and garlic and lemon juice.

We forgot to get any more fresh coriander, so that was missing - and would have been nice - and there was a touch too much lemon <winces  :D > but that still worked pretty well with the lamb, given that it's quite fatty.

The kids both loved it too, with it being a dippy/lots of dishes type of meal iyswim!

Tonight...spicy pork loin, with veg (broccolli, pak choi, mushrooms and beansprouts) in oyster sauce and rice.

tonight we are having penne with leek and bacon. it's like maccaroni cheese, apparently

anyway, i ain't cooking it, which is a result as far as i'm concerned
