A bastardised version of lemontop's taiwanese hotpot.

I have chicken thighs, which will cook slowly in chicken stock, with loads of fresh coriander in it, a grated carrot, halved shallots, and pak choi. Perhaps a splash of soy sauce in

Served with egg noodles, in my nice new big bowls, wot I got today from Wilkies. They are perfect for pasta, soups, and stews

actually I decided to pick up a roast beef sub sandwich with mayo, provolone, lettuce, tomatoe, and onions. I also got a big bowl of chicken pot-pie soup which a thick creamy soup with chix and veggies and some pastry in it....

that'll be me lunch and tea in one :)

can't wait to eat it in an hour or two

We had friends round for an early tea so I did homemade meatballs in a sort of tangy tomato sauce with tagliatelle and garlic bread and homemade lemon cheesecake for pudding.

Oooh yum.

eta: just remembered there was a Waitrose Lemon Curd cheesecake in the freezer so I've just got it out.

Defrost ya bitch.

Spicy merguez sausages with roasted cherry tomatoes and a warm cous cous salad (oooh, get me) made with fried onion, courgette, celery, lots of spices and cous cous.

Where do you get the sausages? I had some at a friends house and they were lush

Mashed potato, celeriac and onion, with butter. Casserole of spring greens, tomatoes and red lentils, with lots of black pepper and cheese on top. Well yummy

Pasta with olive oil, garlic and chili flakes plus salad, both topped with heaps of parmesan. And very nice it was. I don't get the opportunity to eat pasta very often these days, even less to have parmesan because I cook with the boyf most evenings and he doesn't really do pasta, and he really really doesn't do cheese (and no, he doesn't like pizza either - wtf?)

fuck all except guinness. we went out to dragon castle on walworth road for lunch and stuffed ourselves silly on all sorts of dim sum and main dishes

We're doing that tomorrow - we've been saving a couple of quid a day for the last two weeks and now have enough to go to our favourite buffet place where we shall stuff ourselves stupid on starters and get the evils cos we're meant to be filling up on noodles and rice, not asking for refills of salt and pepper prawns and spare ribs.... :p

over here only extremely obese people go to all you can eat buffets :D :p

that way they can eat like 12 lbs of food for only $7.99 + tax

^^^

That made me laugh cos apart from the obvious fact that you never ever fucking cook, you also constantly seem to buy enough food in one go to easily feed three or four people.

I think you'd be really surprised at our portion sizes here, although not at an all-you-can-eat, tbf... :D
