That's alright. I'm willing to forgive you now that I've realised you're one less friend I have to cook for :D Takeaways all round!

Hurrah! :D

butterfly child - that's wierd isn't it? :D

Had the best dinner over at my mum and dad's yesterday: steak and blue cheese and jacket spud, with apple and blackberry crumble for dessert. And the apples came from our garden, and we picked the blackberries, woo.

SG

not sure about tonight, its a toss up between missfrans curry with rice and dhal and a kedgeree

although right now the curry is winning

<Thinks of food in fridge> It'll be out of:

1) If the Oriental superstore has it, Thai Basil with stir fried beef and green beans, with rice and perhaps some greens in oyster sauce as a side.
2) No Thai Basil, then steak sarnies seem strangely inviting.

Or it could be leftovers from the lovely Mirch Masala. Ate too much last night and still stuffed, but maybe the convenience of dhal, paneer and a few other leftovers, along with my mum's potato roti, will win out.

Some sort of comfort food for poorly GF, dunno what. Lasagne maybe, or risotto, or soup or bangers & mash, and pasta for the littlun.

I have some chicken breast and some other basic ingredients like onion, garlic, potatoes, peas, carrots, stock and seasoning.

Any ideas for something low fat and healthy?

Leftover chicken thighs from last night with some stray pork chops from the freezer and...errr...jacket spud which I've just remembered having just scoffed one for me lunch

I'm going to coat some skinless thighs and drumsticks in breadcrumbs mixed with fresh chopped herbs and garlic and lemon zest and loads of black pepper and then roast them and some courgette, feta and potato cakes and also steam whatever veg is ready on the plot (mange tout and beans....and more courgettes most likely).

Although I'm a bit knackered and I've also got to cook two lots of biscuits with the boy in a minute (lemon alphabet biccies and some choc chip and peanut butter cookies) so I'm also quite tempted to fuck that lot off till tommorrow and just get heo to bring some roast duck noodle soup back from the chinese in town. :cool

Swiss chard frittata and salad. Might have some Thai pumpkin soup to start if I can be arsed to make it. It's definitely soup weather, but I am soooo tired after only 3 hours sleep today.

Or maybe potato, tomato and coconut curry from Madhur Jaffrey's Eastern Veggie Cookbook.

I'd love to to that one day but my kids are scary when they are hungry! :D
I bet I can be scarier :D

I have a 50 yr old kid who isn't working at the moment whilst I'm working my tits off from the minute I get up until I fall into bed at 11pm each night right now. It won't kill him to make a pan of veggie pasta :)

Salad with a tomato and mozzerella cheese dressing, jacket potato with tuna and mayo and a crusty cob and 2 cakes cherub helped her mum make this morning...i had a blue one and a green one :D

Well, after lots of moaning, groaning and mini tantrums dinner was cooked for me  I had to cook some fish fingers for the youngest as there were too many veg in the dinner  but apart from that I didn't do a thing.

It's almost worth the subsequent bad atmosphere :D
