I had a packet of TUC biscuits (which I've only just noticed shares an acronym with the Trade Unions Council)

I'm not a big fan of takeout curry or Chinese or pizza, esp if I have to shell out a tenner for it. My average meal cost £2. That's a lot over the odds to justify having more than once in a blue moon, esp if I don't really like it that much.I see....there's some really great ones in South London though to be fair. And often you can get two dinners worth from ordering one.
Tonight - fish fingers, mash and peas.
fish stew leftovers (for me and the veggie) ...
Tried to give it loads in the kitchen last night, ended up making chorizo in a port, plum and chocolate sauce served over homemade bacon and chive hash browns. I appreciate the poor presentation but I was hungry
In hindsight it was very rich and would have been much better suited to a starter of a single hash brown and a few chorizo slices rather than this main course sized plate. Still very nice though.
