What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Chicken soup and rice for 5.

Garlic and onions lightly fried. Oregano, thyme and lemon zest. Couple of chillies, pepper, salt. Spoonful of flour. Whole chicken chopped proper. Add peas and carrots.

Add water. Simmer forever.

€4.50

For 5.

Tomorrow I am doing liver and onions with mash and peas.

Made a lasagne (not a supermarket horse lasagne). Surprised how easy it was. With garlic bread, and iceberg lettuce, cucumber and radish salad.
Fresh pineapple afterwards.

I dunno.
There is quite a lot of stuff to use up in the fridge but they don't really go together. :(

Maybe pasta with a tomato and basil sauce with a bag of spinach wilted in and cheese on top.....

I love making lasagne but I broke my dish that was the right size :(
It also always seems to take me hours and hours but I don't mine if I have a glass of wine and some music on :)

I *was planning on making a chicken stir fry type thing, but was so hungry and tired when I got in that I ended up having a concoction of yoghurt, pickles and pringles :-/ I fail.

Not sure. My gentleman is coming over, so will need to be veggie. I'm thinking possibly lentil/mushroom soup served with halloumi and vegetables on ciabatta.

Well have to admit I used tomato and white lasagne sauces from jars, but it only took about 15 minutes to prepare and 30 minutes in the oven.

And I'll have a couple of glasses of shiraz with it. :)

I wish fried potato wasn't so damn nice. :(
I baked a kilo and a half of spuds on Sunday.
Last night I managed to limit myself to less than half of what was left over.
Got a new chopping board and knives, so it wasn't much of an ordeal to bulk it out with onion, garlic, red onion, red cabbage, red pepper mushrooms and a tomato - with salad sprouts added at the end, plus tahini and soy sauce.
Not sure how to spruce up those left overs so I don't end up eating all the rest of the potato.
I need to tentatively experiment with curries - not something I'm very keen on ...

Meanwhile I've determined to always have fresh salad sprouts available via my "tower of power"

Just realised I've had some form of sossige three days in a row... WIN!

Fnar :D

I had some barbecue ribs, an 18 piece Chinese banquet, and some chippy chips. I did share the banquet and the chips lol.

For dessert I had a plain chocolate truffle and I'm about to open a ginormous bar of dairy milk to share :)
