What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Something I rarely have - Chinese takeaway. There's a new one near us that uses a separate wok for the veggie dishes, and doesn't put pork fat in everything.

Roast shoulder of - British - lamb stuffed with anchovies and garlic, potato daupinoise, leeks and peas, honey roast carrots pancetta and ricotta stuffing. And maybe a couple of roast spuds as Mr. QofG's is panicking at their absence :D

Then home made banana ice cream, hot cross buns and chocolate!

Two massive legs of lamb with garlic, rosemary and olive oil have just been put in the oven to slow-roast. I'm also doing roast potatoes, roast parnsips, stuffing, yorkshires, carrots, sprouting brocolli, swede, gravy and mint sauce. We had a discussion in morrisons about whether to use frozen yorkshires. Mr madz said he thinks people expect homemeade yorkshires from us we use our own produce etc so I said he'd have to help me with dinner in that case. Oh, he said, I think frozen will be fine :D

My mum is making a pavlova of some description for pud.

Last night was a takeaway as we ended up too drunk to cook... mostly due to the dire need to save money!...Tonight we are going to Pizza Express which I have a£25 gift voucher for (credit card points) & with another voucher buy pizza for £2 thingy

ETA: will be at Pizza Express in Liverpool which I'm visiting for the first time.

Roast lamb here, too (shoulder)....with roast potatoes, yorkshires (HOMEMADE  :p ), broccoli and gravy.

Then either strawb/clotted cream ice cream or melon for pudding.

We are trying to empty cupboards here so the pickings are slim. Have some bacon and bread though, that is one meal sorted. Tonight will probably be pasta/rice with something again.

Roast lamb here too. Stuffed with garlic and rosemary. With homemade yorkshires, roast potatoes, roast parsnips, broccoli, carrots, beans and Paxo stuffing*.

* Requested by my daughter. Weirdo.

Some kind of mish mash as I'm trying to run the cupboards/ freezer down a bit- so probably some pasta/ veg/ sausage type thing with grated cheese on top. Mish mash meals always go down well with my hungry tribe.

Paxo cravings? :D

I think I'll make a cottage pie to have with some broccoli and peas (do peas go in it?)
