What's for tea tonight? (#8)

cant be bothered to shop & no motivation to cook. Just keep eating the same things every week and am sick of it, but can't be bothered to try anything new.
I do have a few more bits of food in the house tbh but nothing that really goes together. Like chick peas. Chick peas, egg and a parsnip....:hmm: Not good!
there's definitely curry potential in that... parsnip, chickpea and egg curry!

You only have beige food. :( You could make chips from the parsnips and have egg and chips?

You should hang round here more often. I've gotten some great ideas when in need of inspiration. Egyptian lentil soup for instance. Win :)

Peppered rump steaks, dauphinoise potatoes, broccoli and tiramisu (not on the same plate).

This is to compensate for the misunderstanding yesterday when the Boy spent all day thinking he was getting steaks for valentines dinner but what I actually said was which part of our lovely baby would he most like to eat....

Cantonese chicken curry tonight (sauce lovingly prepared by Sharwoods) with loads of peppers and mushrooms chucked in, rice and prawn crackers.

hot dogs and onions. want to do the onions like you get off street carts when you're waiting for the night bus. i presume they saute/simmer them in water, rather than just fry them?

Tivali veggie sausages (which they seem to have changed the colour of ) mash made from jacket spuds, green beans. Raspberries and ice cream.

Two roasted chicken drumsticks, savoy cabbage, leeks N carrots and mash. With onion gravy. There was hardly room on the plate.

Incedently, I don't wanna start a new thread, but is it ok/safe to still use a non stick pan if some of the no-stick stuff's coming off?

Cancer, it's coming your way.

You won't get I'll 'cos no disease will stick to you as you'll be Teflon coated...... Or something.....

Tonight we dine on Chinese style pork fillet medallions with vegetable, egg fried rice :)

Sojourner is the one to ask about onions to go with hot dogs.
I think she boils them.

I haven't given tonight's tea much thought yet - I shall see if inspiration strikes later.

Out for Indian curry tonight on our Groupon voucher. It's a 'fusion' place but I'm happy to try it and it's just a 10 minute walk away. Cost me £14 for 2 starters, 2 mains, 1 large rice, 1 large naan.

Last night was nice...turkey breast steaks pan-fried with garlic and mushroom, with pasta, spinach and pesto on the side.

No idea tonight. Maybe vegetable pilau. I want something quick, cheap and healthy.

Last night's beef and ale was lovely. We added some mustard ice cream (Mr.Qofg's made some at the weekend following Heston Blumenthal's recipe) which was lush...though made it not quite as diet friendly as I may have liked :D

Spiced root soup and mini-Naan bread tonight.

Aha! Co op were doing their lush massive pizzas 2 for £6.50 - BARGAIN. So got the margherita, and a roast peps one, some garlicky dough balls and an iceberg. Have olives, capers, chillis etc at home for hextra toppings
