What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Probably soup - beetroot or butternut squash with coconut milk and chilli.

I think I will make both and see how they turn out then freeze the one we don't eat.

My son actually did a little *WOAAHHH!* when I said we were having tandoori chicken this morning, cos the last time I did it he was sick :( (from something unrelated, although I'm not altogether sure what it was, tbf :hmm: :D ). I did ask if he wanted me to do something else instead :D but he said no.

MAN THE FUCK UP, MOONSI! :p

LOL...The name moonsi til is apparently my fairy name. I cannot recall the very complicated theory to get there but I am using this as an example of how unlikely I am to man up. You will notice though that Foamys dish above passed without comment. I boxed this with broccoli & stilton soup which I like.

My thoughts are with your son this Indian summer tea-time.

No idea. Probably something quick and easy. I really fancy some noodles though. So probably something quick and easy, with noodles.

Spanish stew with chorizo, and added some garlic sausages too. Delia's recipe didn't have tomatoes in and it's come out looking a bit watery - just onion, garlic, potatoes, water, chorizo and sausage. I've chucked a tin of tomatoes in and some cannelini beans, see how it likes that.

I need to which herbs and spices, and what it's going to be eaten with :hmm:
in a dish I shall saute onion, pepper and mushroom, add some chopped tomatoes and some thyme, seasoning and reduce - then add feta and bake for 20mins

I shall not be having it with anything in order to have more feta

I first read saute as salute :D

Oooh, never thought to baked it on a bed of sauce/veg... might try that :)
Neither did I but I can honestly say it's LUSH :D It would be best with a massive stick of french bread but I don't have any and want all the cheese :D bees is out so I don't have to share tonight

- lentils
- orzo

- sausage
- red pepper
- black pepper

^^ I pressed 'like' as sometimes it is better to just head for the vodka. I did this after a gruellling day at work on Saturday.

Me and the boy are having a pollack and king prawn coconut curry (which I made the sauce for yesterday....so will be nice and quick PLUS it's had time to DEVELOP  ) with rice and green beans. For the non-fishy/fussy small girl, beans on toast.
Nectarines/meringues/single cream for pudding.

dunno. didn't do any food shopping at the weekend due to busyness so it might be takeaway or i might buy myself something nice. am on my own most of this week, had a rather random dinner of cold leftover fish pie and olive tapenade and crackers last night

I didn't have noodles in the end. I ended up treating myself to a nice, juicy fillet steak cooked to medium rare perfection. Served with extra buttery mash and a redwine/mushroom sauce. Then the remainder of Sunday's Bakewell tart. Mmmm.

Noodles-stir fry tonight :D
