What's for tea tonight? (#8)

I velveted some beef for the first time ever. Just with baking soda, worked so well the kids ate loads, it was REALLY soft....

Random stir fry type thing on rice. Mainly rump, spinach and peas with some basic aromatics, soy/honey 'gravy'.

Stir fry! Been ages since I did one. Mushrooms, pak choi, red pepper, onion, garlic/ginger/chilli, spring onion, edamame beans, brown rice - and a fuckton of soy sauce.

Last of the fit lemon cake.

Looks like a few of us are on the stir fry train tonight!
I'll be doing the one that I should have done last night when we ended up having burgers instead.
Sweet & Sour Prawns, Szechuan Chicken, and Egg Fried Rice

Chicken biryani with aubergine and courgette in it too. Lush. Even had the crispy bottom bits this time 😻

That sounds lush and nearly made me change my mind about what I am having tonight - if I had some other veg to bung in and I'd started a bit earlier I'd have considered it.
Maybe over the weekend though!

Chicken went in the marinade at lunch time and I'd been thinking about making it for a couple of days. Wasn't sure about adding aubergines and courgette but they were tasty.

I've already had two servings

Do you have a particular recipe you like? It's not something I make very often!
