What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Roast! Chicken, potatoes, broad beans, sprouts, Yorkshire puds, stuffing and gravy. Nom! Followed by Sticky Apple Cake, if we have room :)

This:

Chicken, onions, mushrooms and broad beans in a garlic and mustard bechamel, with dauphinoise style potatoes on top. And some crushed crisps and cheese to give it a crunchy topping.

I made it up so it's probably horrible. :D

Was as good as it looks and better

^PHWOOOOAAAAARRRRR!!!!!!

We're having tandoori thighs, rice (or possibly sweetcorn from the garden if it's ready!) and courgettes. We're off on holiday in a couple of days, so I need to use up quite a lot of stuff, so we might be having greek salad with that too. :D

More Eton Mess for pudding.

On me own tonight, chap's off playing a gig in Conway, and I really fancy a bit of meat, so am gonna do a chicken/chorizo/chickpea stew and have with that curly green pasta wot I can't remember the name of. And a Gu for afters

Smoked sausage pasta with loads of veg added. And some Pralines and Cream ice cream (if the teen fucks off)

Nurnberger sausages, dragon's breath mustard, a doorstep of multiseeded bread, and half a handful of oven chips.

Courgettes and potatoes in a creamy lemony sauce.

Trying to finish perishables before going on holiday.

Crumpets wot i made for nowsnacks, vegetable curry what i'm having made for me in half an hour.

I think it sounds great

I am having Knorr packet soup - chicken noodle flavour
I'm slightly surprised, but happy to report that it was bloody lovely! Was a bit worried about the broad beans, but they worked really well! It's a good thing too, as the big dish in the fridge is my dinner for the week, and there's a medium sized one in the freezer. There's also a pint of the garlic and mustard bechamel in the freezer that was left over... I made 4 pints of the stuff. I always get carried away and cook on an industrial scale for some reason.

I forgot to mention something to the vital to the 'recipe' - there's a 250g tub of ricotta in the bechamel as well. It softened the edges of the garlic and mustard nicely. The taste of the whole thing reminded me of the chicken and ham fricassee my mum used to make when I was little - it was strangely comforting eating! :)

Hope you enjoyed your Knorr! :D
