What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Last nights kebab! Well what remains of it which is a surprising amount. That naan was huge and I should not have gone back for a wrap too, nor half a cheesecake to follow.

Days are blurring together a bit due to chaotic sleep schedule.

Wednesday: had a roast chicken leg and roast tatties.
Thursday: burger for lunch (impromptu visit to McDonalds - double cheeseburger and small fries), so didn't have much for tea - just some biccies.
Friday: Hopefully I'm going to have the energy later to do a Shepherd's Pie, it's that time of year and I fancy one and I have lamb mince in the freezer plus the rest of the makings. I'll make a quorn mince, lentil, and carrot cottage pie for N.

Friday night 'junk food' tea of Linda Mc quarter pound cheeseburgers on toaster brioche baps, sea salty wedges, Romaine leaves with balsamic dressing.

Gonna have to be chocolate for afters, given we ate 2 slices each of the choccy cake last night

Tomato & veg soup with garlic bread at our Food Not Bombs stall, followed by Karl Marx-shaped chocolate biscuits (which I botched because I'm no master baker, burnt and icing sprayed all over the kitchen -_-)

Them new-fangled gnocchi that you fry, and they have squidgy cheese/tomato middles! Salad, espresso martini/s.

What did you think of them? I've tried them but somehow didn't feel tempted to buy them again. Felt that they sounded nicer than they tasted.

I quite enjoyed the texture, but prefer the plain unstuffed ones in the great scheme, I think, particularly the little ones that crisp up.

I've not kept up to date with this thread, recent meals have been penne all'amatriciana, Ikea meatballs with chips (well that was more like a late lunch, but didn't fancy tea later), and fusilli with a tomato and hot dog sausage sauce.
You can now eat in in a stand alone restaurant, even plant balls available.

I mean their meatballs are delicious, and N had a lovely bit of salmon with couscous, but I can't see the appeal of just a restaurant - if I go to an Ikea I want to come out with some bargain housewares! A cheap and tasty lunch at the same time is fine, but it's not why I go to an Ikea.
