What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Have got what feels like a medium cold (but may be mild rona, given the fella's been lurged for a week with it), and was craving chana dal, so that, with another craved white basmati, roast spiced cauli, dollop of Skyr, another of aubergine pickle.

Big fat buttered slice of homemade fruit cake and a chamomile tea.
 
Black beans in tomatoey chilli sauce with a bit of cheddar grated on top. Macaroni pie inside a Yorkshire pudding, few spoonfuls of the beans splodged on top and down the sides between the pudding and the pie. Smug homemade tatie scones for dipping and mopping up.

As black beans are one of the high in carbs pulses, I'm hereby going to congratulate you on quintuple carbing it in one meal :D
 
I'm nocturnal at the moment, and N's got his first night off after 13 days uninterrupted night shifts with sleep interrupted by various GP/blood tests/pharmacist appointments and he's spent the last 12 hours spark out, so I'm doing a meal for about 2am - tuna leek and potato dauphinoise, which is comforting rich stodge that is highly appropriate for this time of year.
