What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Well that was nice... had roast fillet of fish with spinach, wild mushrooms and salsify (which wasn't what I thought it was!).

I want someone to cook these for me....

(crab stuffed courgette flowers )

:D

But I'll be having a mushroom omelette, maybe with green beans too.

Right, have decided - off t'shops to get it all now...

quorn chicken, peppers, onions, garlic, bamboo shoots, and water chestnuts, in black bean sauce, with NOODIES! *lickslips*

Fucking craving salty stuff at the mo.

I might be having quorn beef strips in a chow mein sauce instead now with all the other stuff, cos I got a bit carried away in tesco

But I couldn't find any key lime pie and I DESPERATELY want some

Yeh riiiight - I bet it's a LITTLE more involved than that

fucking cakey women - all the same
ok, a tiny bit, but really not loads honest....

crush biscuits, mix with melted butter - squish into dish/tin
mix condensed milk with lime juice and a couple egg yokes - pour on top of biscuits and bake for a bit
whip some cream, with a bit of rum in it, then bung on top of the pie

ta-dah :D

or there's a quicker one with no eggs, but you need to leave it in the fridge for at least an hour to set... I want this now too.

I'm on my own tonight so it's a special treat. Prawn cocktail followed by truffle-infused pasta with butter and parmesan shavings followed by chocolate cornflake bites. With pink fizz and a good book.

Still using up leftover chicken from the mahoosive bird we cooked on Monday, so tonight it's chicken and mushroom risotto. And wine.

Two dinners today. First was penne pasta with cream, spinach, pancetta and parmesan. It was in a cafeteria of some bizniss shizzle and gets 4/10. At 8 i had spaghetti and meatballs with three Birds Eye potato waffles with kerrygold butter and extra mature cheddar. Dessert was a raspberry mousse by Waitrose and tea. I do think I am addicted to junkfood:(, but s'long as I dont drink, all good.

last night he made a ragu with the (pot roast guinness) beef and pancetta with marmite spaghetti and some (reduced, waitrose) goats cheese, red onion (or something) bread. And wine.

although a fan of inventiveness, not sure about this one :hmm: How'd it turn out?

Could I have the no eggs recipe please bee?? By pm if you prefer.
I've not tried it mind, but sounds easy and nice enough:

Key lime pie

Ingredients

* 375g/12oz plain or sweetmeal digestive biscuits, crushed (I'd do 1/3 gingernuts to 2/3 digestives here)
* 150g/5oz unsalted butter
* 405g can Carnation Condensed Milk Light
* finely grated zest and juice of 5 large limes (these should be key limes, but they ain't easy to come by)
* 300ml carton double cream (I'd add a shot of rum too :D)

Preparation method

1. Melt the butter in a small pan and stir in the crushed biscuits. Lightly press into the base of a 23cm/9in deep loosed-bottomed fluted flan tin. Chill whilst preparing the filling.
2. To prepare the filling: place the lime juice into a large bowl, add the cream and condensed milk. Whisk for 1-2 minutes. Add the lime zest and lightly stir. Pour onto the prepared biscuit base. Place onto a tray and chill in the fridge for 1-2 hours.

I might be having quorn beef strips in a chow mein sauce instead now with all the other stuff, cos I got a bit carried away in tesco

But I couldn't find any key lime pie and I DESPERATELY want some

Sainsburys are doing a special on Gu and 2 lil key limes pies are yours in a glass ramekin (for when you make your own) for a bargain £2. Not suitable for veggies though.
