What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Sausage whorls. I like saying the word "whorls".
I've had to google a fair few meals recently... well I never, that's what a curly sausage is called (hehehe... you could have a whole curly tea with curly chips and a curly wurly for pud).

Hope it works ok, that's three of you doing it now :D

:D I love this thread

Anyhow, changed me mind, gonna do the black bean thing tomorrow cos it's a faff doing the prep and and I'm gonna be faffing with pie now.

SO - am gonna do roast field mushrooms, mange tout, baby corn, and couscous for us tea toneet

and then lussshhhhh key lime pie

It has been responsible for influencing my meals a little

I am having a total fail today in all areas of my life, so going to have chips and mayo for my tea.

I made a broad bean and tarragon flan. I wanted new potatoes but didn't have the energy to dig them so we had chips instead.

Prawn biryani in a pot - reduced from Waitrose. Thank god I've finished my shifts for the week and can eat proper food wot I have cooked all weekend.

Been years since I've made one and mine weren't round, but I reckon the twirling it round in the air has got to help :D

I'd only drop it on the floor. Oh I don't care, square is fine too and much easier, and actually fits the baking sheet as well.

Made the key lime pie last night - it was more of a faff than I thought it would be (crushing the biccies esp!) but my fucking LORD!!! I have never had cake as fantastic as that :cool: That's a LOT of biscuits mind, and I used the full fat carnation milk...but jesus wept, it were goooood

Thanks so much Bee

Tonight we shall be dining on quorn steak strips in either a black bean or teriyake sauce, with peppers/onion/button mushrooms/bamboo shoots/water chestnuts, and noodies.

And more key lime pie cos it's MASSIVE as well as unbelievably tasty

Maybe spag bol but might take the 12 yr old out for tea on the eve of his 13th birthday as it's meant to be raining tomorrow.

Nice one soj :) might have to give it a go for bbq in a couple weeks. Should've told you about the easy crushing method... biscuits in a bag and whack with a rolling pin ;)

Don't think food is my friend today.

as it's meant to be raining tomorrow.

Is it? <checks forecast> Yer right. It is. That's just solved a problem for me. I REALLY need to do a job application but didn't want to waste a lovely day like this on it. So I'll do it tomorrow when the weathers shit and head out just now. :)

Now. Tea? Moar of last night's chicken-and-everything-else-in-the-fridge curry. Very nice last night, will be nicer today.

The lemon sole we didn't have yesterday! But breaded this time, I may make goujons...or posh fish fingers as I like to think of them!!

Homemade pizza pictures, as requested. This is from today's attempt. Much rounder shape today than last night..

I've also done a massive potato salad for the hen do taking place in our flat later. Sadly I probably won't get to eat any of that.

^^ nom!
either veggie lasagne or pizza if i'm home; a medley of spuds and gravy if i'm not.

I know! Had the apron on most of the day while the ladies were streaming around in their flapper dresses. Most unusual. As for the pizza, it actually tastes much nicer than it looks. :)

I'm having veggie burgers in a ciabatta roll with my own homemade onion chutney. I will also have a go at making patatas bravas for the first time. I will be drinking Singha lager.
