What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Ended up having mushroom pasta to use up the mushrooms before they disintegrated into a soggy mess - mushrooms, red onion, garlic, oregano, black pepper (my pepper mill broke, am really fucked off about it, I only bought it 6 weeks ago), red wine, cream, the few tsp left in the bottom of a jar of basil pesto, penne


Liked for the food...not the broken pepper mill
 
what's halloumi?

Oh it's just lovely, cheese (usually from Cyprus) with a very high melting point so you can slice and fry or grill it and it maintains its structural integrity.
I particularly enjoy it sliced, fried, and in a baguette with chopped tomatoes, olives, red onion, basil or pesto, a little drizzle of olive oil - I feel hungry now

I am in the market for a new Pepper Mill too. Been round the charity shops and such but nothing has turned up yet. As soon as I get one a cheap/better one will turn up for a quid :mad:

Don't buy one from Morrisons, they look ok but not up to the task
 
I managed to find the receipt so am going to send them a sternly worded email later asking for a refund
