What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Freezer-foraged 3 bean chilli, brown rice, sour cream, and a fuckton of grated mature cheddar. I've run out of placcy tubs for leftovers cos they're all in the freezer, so it's time to start raiding the freezer for tea.

Scones with salted butter and bramble jelly for afters, with a decaff tea.

does anyone have a good recipe for hungarian goulash?

Felicity Cloake's series in The Guardian, "How to cook the perfect..." is always my first port of call when looking for recipes - she tries various recipes - I find her very reliable. Lo and behold, she has tackled Goulash

Got a decent gammon joint with glaze from the #haggleshelf for about a quid. So that with roast potatoes, carrots and peas. Possibly gravy or whatever sauce I can rustle up.
Ended up making a sort of cider gravy.

Red onions sweated in salted butter. Mixed in some cider, beef stock and fresh parsley. Thickened it with chicken gravy granules and let it thicken on the hob.

Was a really decent meal, have a couple of servings left and the whole lot cost less than £3.
