FEMA camps have been around for decades. With literally thousands of military installations to choose from does anyone think they couldn't come up with a FEMA camp if they needed one? The guard base at Ashland Nebraska is a good example. They have hundreds of buildings that are invisible from the road and ready at a moments notice. They put corona virus patients in quarantine without so much as a ripple in the social fabric. The only reason any of us knew is that the government was trying to convince us they were being responsive to the corona virus.

You know, I kinda miss Jazzz. He was entertaining.
I'm aware of the conspiracy theory and the threads we've had about it. I used to listen to Art Bell and some of the other late night loonspuds on the radio. Being an insomniac, it was available entertainment. After a while, I realized that it was harmful because people actually did believe it, and it was a platform for some of the more harmful things that have shown up in American politics in the last few years.
The FEMA camp thing is probably one of the most believable ones. Its entirely plausible that the government would round people up in case of a disaster--much as we're seeing now with quarantining people to make sure they don't spread coronavirus. Or, like after the Camp fire when a military base was used as a place to evacuate people from the fire. However, its also easy to imagine them being used in ways that are harmful, such as separating children from their parents at the border, as is currently happening. That's an illegitimate use of government power. In any case, the government has had that capability at least since WWII.
