What stupid shit has Trump done today?

Well, it doesn't really matter - it has gone well past the point where the effort of wading through several tons of horseshit to find one grain of anything worth listening to was ever worth doing.

Some of his claims are interesting regarding record low levels of unemployment for African Americans and Latinos. If that’s true and the US economy is doing as well as Trump claims then it’s understandable how he’s viewed to win again in a landslide - even CNN are saying as much.

Pity the Dems haven’t got anyone even remotely credible to give Trump a run for their money but you’ve just got to watch some of their recent town hall debates to see the likes of Elizabeth Warren introduce herself along with her preferred pronouns to see from the get-go how detached they are outside of their bubbles.

If. As you say. Except that you then go on to rant about the Democrats on the premise that your far-fetched "if" has any basis in fact.

Oh dear, well - at least you’re out of your tinfoil stage so that’s something at least.

Let’s work on your cognitive dissonance.

How will Trump lose the election?

The Coronavirus - if it gets out of control in America, Trump will be blamed for not responding fast enough.

Trump speaking to the press before getting on marine one today suggested that Adam Schiff is responsible for leaking to the press that Russia is supporting Bernie Sanders for 2020 - the inference is that the Dems don’t want Bernie as the candidate so are attempting to smear him.

On Coronavirus- Trump claims they had 12 cases but they are all on their way to recovery.

If Trump's claiming that, then it's a fairly safe bet that there are either zero, or many, many more than 12, and that they are anything but all on their way to recovery. You can't argue with a consistent track record, and Trump's is pretty damn consistent...

I’d say he’s playing the numbers down tbh.

This Coronavirus looks like it’s going to have serious consequences for the global economy.

But it doesn't follow that it's bad news for a political leader (not even Trump). I think your analysis is probably a little simplistic.

Im basing that assumption - US economy tanking (not to mention the human cost to life), largely based on anti-Trump liberal media outlets such as MSNBC, CNN stating that Trump is pretty much a shoe-in, unless the economy tanks.

The clear inference is that many voters who don’t like Trump will look at the weak Dem runner (so far they all look horrific, especially BS who is running an open Socialist campaign, hence why Bloomberg was brought in but to no avail) and likely vote Trump based solely/mainly on the strength of the economy, and it’s probable that whoever is in power would get blamed for not responding enough to the pandemic.

I'd say we're heading for a global pandemic and it's mlikely the genie is out of the bottle. Trump was always going to signal the end times, I just thought he'd cause it himself.

This graphic is frightening

I think the real danger is that, if Trump starts investing his credibility in the idea that there are very few cases in the US, there will be an institutional reluctance to accept the truth when it transpires - as it inevitably will - that there are far more cases around the US than he'd like to think.

Which will result in a reluctance to acknowledge and act on the reality - I think we can look forward to Trump wriggling every which way to reclassify the situation as something else, or focus on who to blame rather than containing any outbreak. And, with the US healthcare system as it is, they're not really going to be very good at much except firefighting - a huge proportion of Americans have no health cover, and will not be encultured towards the idea of accessing medical care. Furthermore, if the only option then becomes the kind of conspiranoid nightmare scenario of some kind of government-led quarantine process ("FEMA"), they're going to end up dealing with a truculent and reluctant target group who are going to have to be extracted, perhaps with force, and quarantined.

That could add an interesting dimension to the US political landscape...

Amid coronavirus outbreak, Trump proposes slashing CDC budget
The proposal cuts funds for preparedness, infectious disease, and chronic conditions.

I guess the lesson to be learnt here is - never underestimate Trump.

Saying that, it won’t stop the Dems from potentially trying to smear him for not being proactive enough. If they’re prepared to fabricate Russian collusion with a fake dossier from thin air, they’ll attack him for anything.

Dems are trying to used the Russian hoax on Bernie now

It's not a smear if it's actually true.

Also true that Tulsi Gabbard and now Bernie Sanders are backed by Russia, are Russian assets etc?
Democrats Have a Plan to Beat Bernie Sanders: Call Him a Russian 'Asset

It’s all a tinfoil con job, I’d be surprised they keep recycling it if it weren’t for the fact they are desperate.
