I'm tempted by the argument from incredulity: I can't believe this is true, therefore it isn't - and for sure there have been plenty of reputable voices shouting down the idea of any serious Russian influence.
However. I know that's a rubbish argument. And I've also seen plenty of un-hysterical people producing what looks like evidence that this goes on. Meanwhile, decent people on the left continue to insist that they are never influenced by tripe on Facebook and Instagram and the like, therefore no one else would be. (And so no company ever wasted money on car adverts, ever.) I'm in no position to evaluate what looks like evidence. I no longer know what to believe, which is presumably mission accomplished for someone somewhere.
