What stupid shit has Trump done today?

Trump just got fact-checked from space, again

“This is the first time for a woman outside of the space station,” Trump said. He later added: “You are amazing people; they’re conducting the first ever female spacewalk to replace an exterior part of the space station. They’re doing some work, and they’re doing it in a very high altitude — an altitude that very few people will ever see.”

In her response, Meir made it clear that they were building on the work of many previous women who had spacewalked before them. “We don’t want to take too much credit because there have been many other female spacewalkers before,” Meir said. “This is the first time that there’s been two women outside at the same time.” In the history of spaceflight, only 15 women have ever spacewalked, including Meir and Koch.

Astronauts in space have lightly corrected the president during a phone call before. In 2017, Trump asked NASA astronaut Peggy Whitson when she thought astronauts would head to Mars, just after signing a new authorization bill for NASA that outlined the timeline for that. “Well I think as your bill directed, it’ll be approximately in the 2030s,” Whitson replied at the time.

Mark Blyth is very good, he's like an anti-ming though - anti-conspiracist, classic use of economics own concepts against itself and the political drives behind 'economics' etc so i don't see why he's posted it.

It would be good to know what Ming actually thinks of the content of the video.

so Don the con has reversed on Doral hosting the G7 ....hehe

Hopefully some of the other G7 ers have pointed out they they also have laws concerning gifting foreign governments with tax payers money !

like the Irish premier refused too meet on the trumpsters property and they ended up holding the meeting at the departure lounge of an Irish airport

How very Russian that looks

“In the end the Party would announce that two and two made five, and you would have to believe it. It was inevitable that they should make that claim sooner or later: the logic of their position demanded it. Not merely the validity of experience, but the very existence of external reality was tacitly denied by their philosophy.”

“The horrible thing about the two minutes hate was not that one was obliged to act a part, but on the contrary, that it was impossible to avoid joining in. A hideous ecstasy of fear and vindictiveness, a desire to kill, to torture, to smash faces in with a sledge-hammer, seemed to flow through the whole group of people like an electric current, turning one even against ones own will into a grimacing, screaming lunatic…”

For many years it looked as though Huxley’s Brave New World was a better prediction of the future than Orwell’s 1984, but now we appear to be living in a future which is increasingly composed of nasty elements of both......

Thing is, I could relate totally to accidentally calling him that. "Don't call him Mozzarella, DON'T call him Mozzarella... aww no fuck just called him Mozzarella"

As US Secretary of State, Mike Pompino, knows, all too well, such slip-ups with Italian named are very common.

not as Russian as this ....

John Dowd’s October 3 letter to the House Intelligence Committee....
"Be advised that Messrs. Parnas and Fruman assisted Mr. Giuliani in connection with his representation of President Trump. Mr. Parnas and Mr. Fruman have also been represented by Mr. Giuliani in connection with their personal and business affairs. They also assisted Joseph DiGenova and Victoria Toensing in their law practice. Thus, certain information you seek in your September 30, 2019, letter is protected by the attorney-client, attorney work product and other privileges."

Sad, very sad!!!

Trump compares impeachment inquiry against him to a ‘lynching’

U.S. President Donald Trump injected racial overtones into the House impeachment inquiry Tuesday by comparing the Democratic-led investigation into his handling of U.S. policy toward Ukraine to a “lynching.”

The highest-ranking African American in Congress warned Trump about making the comparison.

Lynchings, or hangings, historically were mostly used by whites against black men and mostly in the South beginning in the late 19th century amid rising racial tensions in the U.S. By comparing the impeachment process to a lynching, Trump is also likening Democrats to a lynch mob.

Donald Trump lynching comment: His history on race makes it crystal clear - CNNPolitics

On Tuesday morning, the President of the United States described the impeachment investigation against him as a "lynching." This is not by accident.

Throughout his life -- and especially in his latest turn as a politician -- Trump has shown a willingness to weaponize race for his own gain.

He has also shown that he possesses a deep and abiding victim complex, convinced he has been persecuted in ways that few, if any, people have ever endured in the history of the country.

By comparing his current situation to lynching, Trump is engaging in both the weaponizing of race and his sense of victimhood. He is purposely dredging up some of the darkest images of our country to vent his anger and rally his supporters to his cause.

It is, in a word, gross.

Looks like a busy day for Trump shit

Looks like the impeachment enquiry is about to hit TV

https://www.buzzfeednews.com/articl...-impeachment-investigation-tv-public-hearings

WASHINGTON — For weeks, the impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump has been happening almost entirely behind closed doors, leaving a confused American public to follow an incredibly complex investigation largely through reporting on leaks and vague comments from members of Congress.

That is all about to change. The impeachment inquiry is coming soon to a television near you, a move House Democrats told BuzzFeed News they hope will shut down Republican complaints about secrecy and help shape public opinion as the 2020 election draws nearer.

I really hope this come to be because the US electorate will be able to see the damning testimonies first hand, and that's going to help get public opinion on what is very clearly the right track. The news gets out of a closed door meeting, but this means the electorate can see it live, and get the best highlights on the news programs.
Excellent idea!

The server

I have a question - I know the stuff about a secret server, but I have absolutely no clue why it's supposed to be hidden in Ukraine. I'm very sure the story is a load of old manure, but I don't understand the tech behind why it has to be in the Ukraine.
Can anyone enlighten me as to why its position matters, please?
All I can think of is it's supposed to be hidden there so the FBI can't get it, thus impossible to get to so the conspiracy lives, but that's only a guess as to trumpthink.

Ukraine and more testimony

US envoy condemns 'irregular' pressure on Ukraine

A top US diplomat has told Congress that aid to Ukraine and a meeting with President Donald Trump were linked to public investigations of a rival.

Ambassador Bill Taylor testified before an impeachment inquiry that he was told Mr Trump wanted Ukraine to probe ex-Vice-President Joe Biden's dealings.

Mr Taylor said relations with Ukraine had been "fundamentally undermined" for "domestic political reasons".

CNN got hold of this somewhat damning report and snips from the evidence. Basically, a very high ranking US official is saying Trump is guilty.

CNN obtains Bill Taylor's opening statement to Congress - CNN Video

I can't but agree with the idea of that stuff being available on TV so Trump's options to muddy the waters are narrowed.

If you had read the article that you linked, then you would have found your answers.

Remember I suggested Russia would take the diplomatic lead in Turkey then Turkey, a NATO country, would align with Russia?

It's started, and the US has shit it for political influence with Turkey and the Kurds.

Turkey and Russia strike deal over Syria's border

Trump let Russia in, tweeted his victorious stupidity as a win, then Russia took the lead.
I'll bet Israel is getting jittery.

If you had read the article that you linked, then you would have found your answers.

I did but failed to see any technical reasons why it should be in Ukraine, so I'm guessing the location is down to 'we can't find it because it's outside the US' and, "Biden is behind it" bullshit. Would you say that's correct or is there another reason?

As I'm unfamiliar with the tech, I have little clue why the location matters, but I can see why the supposed location is handy for Trump.
